This place was nice BUT I don't know how this place is allowed to operate. My son-in-law is an a wheelchair. There is no access to this location that is handicapped accessible, except the back dock that is only available by someone taking a bar off a door to let you in or out. Someone had to get help to lift him up some stairs to get him in. The restroom for the men is in the basement. Access by stairs. Not Ada accessible. I don't know how this place can operate without Ada accessibility. I thought everything in Sioux Falls had to be Ada accessible thT was a business.

Nobody wants their wedding day to be any less than perfect. Unfortunately for ours, the only shortcoming was the Summit events hall. First, the air circulation and conditioning was poor at best. In their defense, our wedding was on the hottest day of 2020 thus far. However the AC seemed dated, and there are no ceiling fans to circulate any of the air. The temperature inside the hall only fell below 78 when 3/4 of our guests decided to leave, and the left because of how hot it was in the hall. There was one or two box fans, and Ryan did go out and buy one more oscillating fan to help but unfortunately, it did not do much. The gesture however was appreciated. Second, there were a couple of promises that were not kept. Our party had a large van for the wedding party, and we were told that the lot would be blocked so we could park there. When we arrived, the lot was full and there was no where for us to park. When asked about it, he had no recollection of what he said. The bar was beer and wine only. However that was never stated, but in his defense I'm not sure it was asked. Third, on more than one occasion we had to escort vagrants out who had wandered into the hall. We found one downstairs, and when asked who he was he appeared to not speak english. Our gifts were next to one of the entrances, and unfortunately we may never know if one of them was stolen or if we missed any other people who may have wandered in. And lastly our customer service was not the best. We paid over $1700 dollars to the hall plus bartender. Management offered $130.00 off the bar tab to make up for all the shortcomings. Though appreciated, were it me in his position, I would do better than 7.6% discount. My recommendation would be to not use the hall in the summer months, unless the AC is renovated. I have been told in the winter months the hall is just fine. In hindsight, it would have been cheaper and cooler temperatures had I chosen the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance, and I wish that was the decision I would have made.

Summit Events Hall was the perfect place to have our wedding ceremony and reception! The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We loved it, and our guests enjoyed it as well - we received so many compliments. Ryan was fantastic to work with - super patient and so incredibly helpful! Thank you! The Summit Suite was also a great addition. Super roomy and clean - was a great spot for us to stay!

We held our son's wedding reception last summer. Ryan was great to work with and the historical venue was perfect for some unique photos. We had approximately 210 guests and had a perfect evening. Thank you Ryan for sharing this memorable evening with our family.

I think their days end at midnight, so that example might be charged for 2 days. I remember we had to be out by midnight.
you have to be out by midnight you can't stay that long (12:00 am)
