I recently moved to this area of Anchorage, and shop at Carrs Abbott. Selection of product is good. I wish you had a Vegan Section like Carrs Wasilla does. Produce department in this store is pathetic. Really picked over and poor selection compared to the Wasilla store. Also, the seating area is way too far away and is just downright ugly! Why bother to have tables and chairs down an ugly hallway? Bathroom is for one person at a time?? Oh, come on. Remodel that ladies room. I have been shopping at Carrs Wasilla and it's a lot nicer even if it's older. Their seating area is cozy. Bathrooms have stalls and are clean. I will keep shopping the Abbott store because I live across the street but would like to see a cafe style seating in more attractive spot. Thank you.

The servos is exceptional for a big grocery store, they have good managers that keep the crews The truly exceptional manager is at jewel lake,I wish I lived closer

So I have three critisms. Firstly they closed down the exit with locks "from the outside" early. When I asked if there was any way at all they could let me put as I am disabled. The young man in electronics said there's absolutely no way. Second, when I checked out the young woman whom I approached to help me at the self check out said "what, what?" As if I wasn't a customer. Iv been treated better on the street then her demeanor. Third, the chinnese food wasn't good. Prices were high but its Alaska what isn't.

I shop more at SAFEWAY or "CARRS" in Alaska than any other grocery store. Fred Meyers is much better in some ways and getting better. SAFEWAY is better in other ways such as their "O" Organics brand- the original and least expensive organics brand available in Alaska and Hawaii. Most of their prices are better than Fred Meyer. Their Shopping Card discounts are by far the best deal of any store I've shopped at- 20-30% savings on items is common. Safeway, in my experience, is more friendly than Fred Meyer or Walmart.
