What I liked about the UP process is the multi-faceted approach that tackles nutrition, healthy habits, workout routines, and a mindset shift centered around self-discipline and personal growth, all at the same time. My PT Giulio is excellent at keeping me accountable towards my goals at adapting to my personal style of learning. The program is a challenge that requires commitment and hard work, but the support system (the app for quick and constant communication, the facility, the flexibility trainers display in adjusting to personal schedule and to workout needs) is overall incredibly impressive. I leave the program with a better understanding of what my body needs, which is all I can ask for from a program like this.

Just finished up a 6 week program at Ultimate Performance. Could not be happier with the overall experience and results that I had in just a short period of time. Let me start by saying that I already worked out frequently on my own, but had never had any personal training before. I was a little hesitant because I was not sure what to expect but had hit a wall and was struggling to shed my Quarantine - 15 (pounds). My trainer, Gerard, did not disappoint! This guy helped me with implementing healthier eating habits, different meal options to optimize my training and pushed me during out training sessions. Very supportive and enthusiastic attitude and helped me to shed 10 lbs in 6 weeks, both increasing lean muscle mass and reducing body fat %. Not only do I look better than I did before Covid began, I also FEEL much better. More energy, better sleep and overall better mood. Super happy that I made the decision to have the team at UP help me get back in shape and effectively learn to maintain discipline with my workout regimen and diet.

Training with Kevin Jones at UP has been one of the most positive and impactful experiences I’ve had in a very long time. I feel very lucky to have Kevin as my trainer. I’ve lost 15% body fat in 3-months. The person I was 3 months ago would have not belief this was possible. If I would’ve achieved half of the results I would still be very happy. Training has made positive changes in other areas of my life. Besides getting fit, becoming stronger, and looking better; I wake up with more energy, and I achieve more things during my day. It’s the closest thing to a human metamorphosis with sustainable results.
I feel super happy about my results, and I never plan to go back to how I was before. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to make a fundamental positive change in their lives. The reason I chose to train at UP over other gyms was the professionalism and the great vibe. When I approached other gyms, I felt an uncomfortable neediness for them to sell me stuff. With UP, it was a very authentic approach. The results speak for themselves. The gym has everything you need, and the people are authentic, professional and caring. I would encourage anyone to visit Ultimate Performance and just take a look.

Currently entering the final stages of training with Jessie D. I am incredibly impressed with the professionalism show by management and trainers at the gym. The facilities are impeccable and the program works (I have lost 15 pounds so far and gained lots of muscle and strength). My personal experience here has been nothing short of extraordinary, the matching process with my trainer was spot on. I have daily communication and support from my trainer both in person and online through the UP app. Thanks to my trainer, I have learned a lot about nutrition, fitness and the human body. My trainer is kind, respectful, professional, caring, knowledgeable and focused on my success. I feel very supported in my fitness journey, but most importantly for me, I feel informed. At no point in my entire experience have I felt pressured to buy products, more sessions etc. This fitness experience is a top level experience with zero sales pressure. The trainers and management are legitimately interested in the success of their clients and nothing speaks louder than the results I have achieved. When you first see the dramatic before and after pictures of other clients you can't believe that you may be able to do it, but once you go through the program and see the changes, you realize this company is focused on real results. Bottom line this is the best investment you can give yourself. I am incredibly thankful to my trainer and for his dedication to my success.

Questions & Answers

Before I invest, can I test the product to see if I like it?

We are an outcome driven business and not per-session personal trainers, so unfortunately this is not something that we can offer. The essence of what we do is get under your skin to help you achieve your desired goal, and one sample personal training session would not even be a snapshot of the overall experience. What we ask all our potential clients to do is come to the Brentwood gym, look in the whites of our eyes, see what the gym floor is like, observe our clients (many potential clients are amazed to find out that our clients are just like them and not some kind of super training warrior athlete), and get a full appreciation that the “too good to be true” results that we show you are the real deal.

Hi, I travel a lot for work. Can one of your programs still work for me?

Fran Vasquez | Aug 24, 2019
Ultimate Performance Personal Trainers Los Angeles | Aug 24, 2019

Hi Fran, The truthful answer is that neither of us know if it will work for you until you commit and try it. The longer answer is that if you look at our locations (for example Mayfair, London; Dubai; Singapore; Hong Kong; and Amsterdam to name but six) you will appreciate that a significant percentage of our clients have demanding travel schedules as part of their careers. We are very familiar and comfortable with helping our clients to mitigate the physical demands and stress of being on the road and all our personal training programs are designed to be both fluid and dynamic. As an illustration, we fully expect a client who signs up to do 36 personal training sessions in 12 weeks to not be able to squeeze all of those sessions in. In fact, our average client does 2.8 sessions a week with us, even factoring those who train 4 times a week. Because of this , if you sign up for a “12 week package” there is no issue that we overshoot and we don’t put an expiry date on your sessions.

Is this just weight training? Don't see a lot of cardio equipment in your photos..

Andy Smith | Aug 24, 2019
Ultimate Performance Personal Trainers Los Angeles | Aug 24, 2019

Hi Andy, Your observation that we are a weight training dominant gym is correct, but the “cardio” question requires a bit more elaboration. All of our gyms, from Sydney and Singapore, to London and Los Angeles, are high-end personal training gyms where you as a client work 1-2-1 with a U.P. (not a freelancer!) trainer. At first glance the uninitiated might think that they are bodybuilding gyms, but whilst we always strive to bring the energy and visceral intensity of a passionate and hard training gym environment, are clients are almost always professional men and women who want to maximize their limited exercise time (the average U.P. client transformation comes to the gym just 2.8 times a week) and get in the best shape of their lives. We primarily employ resistance training as the key exercise modality simply because it is the best overall tool for helping anyone to get as fit, lean, and (if desired) muscular as possible.

what makes you different? You guys are more expensive than other gyms.

Hi Yollanda, We are never going to be the cheapest personal trainers in town. Of course, we think that in personal training, like almost all service industries, you get what you pay for. If you just need a paid gym babysitter or a rent-a-friend then you possibly should save your dollars and go with a more economic option, but if you want to find a trusted adviser, someone who will tell you what you need to hear, not want to hear, and hold you accountable to your goals, then this is where U.P. comes in and is the reason why we are the world’s only international personal training business with our own facilities on four different continents of the globe. We try our best to provide our clients with world class gyms, but the secret sauce is the work that we put into hiring and bringing through the best personal training team in Los Angeles. Managing and maintaining standards is what marks out U.P. and is a major factor in our fee structure.

How strict is the diet?

Alex Christophide | Aug 24, 2019
Andrew England | Aug 24, 2019

Everything depends on your goals and where you're at right now. Big goals may require big changes. But if you already eat healthy now, then the diet portion won't be a problem. For me, it was not what I ate, but how much that needed to be adjusted. I have to gain weight so I just eat a lot more. Same food though since I already ate healthy.
