This place is a well stocked Filipino food supply store. Conveniently located near the train station and the lines are not that long, if you know when to shop. The staff and the owner are very accommodating and friendly.

Phil-Am was my go-to place growing up for Filipino foods (lunganisa, turon, ensamada, pan-de-sal, ingredients for Filipino dishes, among others) that my mom didn’t find at a traditional grocery store. Now, (i.e. adult and not a picky child) I am impressed with their selection. They are also located in Woodside Queens, which is where I grew up. Ensamada and pan-de-sal are available in other places, but have not seen fresh lunganisa (ie not frozen) in too many places. If you like or want to try Filipino dishes, this is where you can get your ingredients. Depending on what you are looking for, this can be a one stop shop for what you need.

Our COVID safety protocols include, but are note limited to: - Masks are required for all staff and customers. No mask, no entry. No exceptions. - Only 8-10 customers are allowed in at a time, with floor distance markers to help maintain social-distancing. - Regular wipe-downs of all common high-touch areas are facilitated regularly, throughout the day. In addition, as soon as NYS made grocery workers eligible for vaccination, we scheduled appointments for our entire staff. As of early March, our entire staff has been fully vaccinated.
