This is a really great place, lots to learn while walking through. Safely give yourself 2 hours to get through the aquarium and make sure you make it to the Aqua theater. It’s a great place for kids and adults alike. Do not go on the ‘free day’ which are Wednesday afternoons way too many people to thoroughly enjoy. It was raining when I went and they insisted on keeping us outside until 3 o’clock? I felt that was unreasonable, they should have just let people in. Good experience, subway is located right opposite the Aquarium gates.

I really liked NY Aquarium since I got there in less crowded times and got to experience its peacefulness. Not sure if ticket control system works, because in like a hour of my visit there was way too many people. Great place to bring kids and family. So many unique specimens of water creatures will mesmerize you. Very well maintained place.

Great experience!!! The best aquarium I’ve ever been too. Your able to get up close and person with all of the aquatic animals. The aquarium itself is so beautiful and the employees are extremely kind and caring. The food court is a bit price but the food is delicious. Many public bathrooms spread out throughout the aquarium. And the sea lion show spreads a good message about pollution well also making and interesting and quit hilarious performance

I’ve been to this aquarium 2x now and both were great experiences! If you go on Wednesday’s at 3 you can get in free/donation. (Check website for details…you have to book the Monday prior)Today when we got there they had a seal lion show that was a lot of fun. It is winter so it’s easy to find street parking just outside the gate.
