Storrier Stearns Japanese Gardens is a well hidden gem in S.West Pasadena. It's not big but the calm, beauty of the gardens, Koi ponds are well worth an hour or two for relaxation. While you visit take time to read a short summery of it's history and check out the little gift shop filled with Japanese culture items and some beautiful kimonos.

A rare surviving example of a pre-WWII Japanese garden, restored after years of neglect. The garden is open to the general public on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday every week, and on the second and last Sunday of each month. Hours for every Open Day are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Reservation through the website is strongly recommend! Bring some snack to enjoy the peace

Very nice place to visit. The gift shop is so quaint and cute. The gardens are quite lovely. Feeding the fish is a plus.

Lovely garden! We had a wedding there and it was absolutely wonderful. Both the ceremony and reception were in the garden and we couldn't have been more pleased with how well everything went and how beautiful it was during both the day and evening.

Yes and no. They do sell a few books and items on a table but there is no actual store.
Yes...it is $10 at the door and less if you buy online on their website. You can also check days and hours they are open.
Take I-10 W to CA 210 W. Continue onto CA-134 W Freeway and take the exit at Del Mar Blvd. Continue onto S Saint John Ave. which becomes Pasadena Ave. Turn right onto Arlington Drive. The garden will be on your left and the entry is through a wooden gate.
Hello Kyla, There is parking in the two driveways on the property and overflow parking on the street in front of the garden.
There is a charge. Visit the website to make reservations.
Hello! On Saturdays we are open to a small number of people for two "Happy Hour" sessions in the evenings through October. You may bring a bottle of wine (or whatever) to enjoy while sitting 6 ft away from others. Face coverings must be worn at all times except when sitting. On Sundays, we offer two-hour visits but refreshments are not allowed that day because we have more people and safe distancing is more difficult. For both days, registration is required and it closes at 9am the day of your visit. Hope to see you soon!
Yes, the majority of the park and facilities are, however there are some unpaved trails that would be challenging.
I think so, I don't recall their pet policy but I feel like I saw someone there with their dog as well when I went
