They transfered several 40+-year-old audio cassettes to a digital collection for me. They were fast, reaasonably priced, and the quality was excellent. I would definitely use them again.

Questions & Answers

I have a cassette tape from 2009 possibly that was used on those old video recording cameras that I would want to transfer to a dvd if possible. It’s a video with my mom who passed away in 2012. How much would you charge?

I also have another mini dv tape that is damaged ( the tape itself is wrinkled in a area) and it skips back and forth or glitches when playing through the camera. Do you think you can fix it and copy it to a cd or flash drive?

Arathnido | Dec 26, 2021
Los Angeles Video Transfer Service | Dec 26, 2021

Hi Arathnido, we can certainly make the repair to the physical tape. MiniDV is a digital format so the damaged section will likely produce poor results. Being that the tape is a digital format, when imperfections occur, tapes will appear as you described instead of symptoms like static. It is possible that the playback device youre using is also out of spec and is not interpreting the tape properly, so it may be worth bringing it in and we can discuss next steps for recovery.

Hi I have a mini dv tape that's I accidentally took apart and don't know how to put back together. How much do you charge to fix it and transfer to a cd or flash drive?
