Fantastic park. There's a drop off area so you don't have to carry everything from the lot like other reviews suggest. Picnic tables spread along the beach, get there early to snag one. Shady spots are closer to the drop off area but the farther out you go the more private it gets. Park also has changing rooms and porto-potties.

Beautiful day at the beach on my first weekend back in Vermont after travelling abroad.

The park is small but has a good beach with soft sand and shallow water. The nature preserve is tiny, but has plenty of birds and bog creatures to see.

A bit out of the way and be sure to travel slowly once you leave rt 129. The parking lit near the beach does not offer a lot of spaces, but you can unload your belongings and the park in the upper lot. There are plenty of porta-potties and also public grills. The beach area is expansive and has beautiful dunes and rocky areas. The water was beautiful!

Questions & Answers

What happened with the parking ? It's a pain going there. Have to walk 1/2 mile with chairs, umbrella, cooler etc.. Poor older people. It was easier until last year. Bad now.

I completely agree. We were surprised on Sunday when we tried to get in. Parking lots were close to full and you had a line of cars trying to get in. We didn't stay when we could only find parking in the upper 40

I brought mine when I was there 5 years ago. No problem, in fact 2 of the park employees enjoyed having steak tips and chicken with us.
