We had a wonderful day. The grass was a little long, but great. No one pushed us along. People were very friendly.

I live on Isle La Motte so we play this course quite a bit. It is what it claims to be; a great links course that follows the natural terrain and provides spectacular views of Lake Champlain. Course conditions have improved tremendously over the last 2-3 years and Doug is an extremely helpful pro (and great storyteller!). They completely remodeled the clubhouse interior this year and the new menu features locally-sourced produce and meats. It is also now the brew pub for Kraemer & Kin, some of the best microbrew in a state famous for its microbreweries!

This is a wonderful little gem of a golf course that unlike a lot of places, is EXACTLY what the website says it is......a course that's true to it's heritage, follows the lay of the land, and has wonderful views. The friendliness of having very few bunkers is offset by the parsimonious green size, and the rough, should you find it, was short enough that you didn't spend 20 minutes looking for your your ball. The greens were in excellent shape, receptive, moderate speed and rolling true. In short, this is a real shot makers course. I only recall one blind tee shot (#9), no true dog-legs, and although there are a few holes where being able to shape your tee-shot either right or left will help you get into a more advantageous position for your approach shot, it's really not required. For those lucky enough to have a wife who plays, the front tees are unusually well positioned. I played from the back tees, my wife played from the front tees, and in most cases we ended up within a few yards of each other for our approach shots. In short, a real pleasure. My Wife and I enjoyed our afternoon !!!

Great little "links" style golf course. Not the longest around, but that's a good thing for most of us amateurs. Entertaining layout and the conditions were mostly good to very good. A couple of the greens had some damage that was growing back and the fairways do have some green that isn't always grass, but for me that was fine. Didn't expect country club conditions. Staff was friendly and the pace was perfect. Day I played there were only about 6 cars in the lot when I arrived mid-morning. Nobody holding up play and nobody pushing from behind. All in all a fun, relaxing day.
