Camping in Uvas Canyon camp ground was such a great experience for our family. The camping area was well maintained and clean. Camp host came check on people to see if they need anything on daily basis. Lots of hiking trails for day time hike. Wood burning fireplace for the night. You can hear running water in the park. Different animals sounds at night. It's magical. One down side is there are lots of bugs and mosquitoes. Bring bug spray and wear loose clothes cover up.

It is an amazing hike! Quite surreal for something in this area. We did the POST recommended one - waterfall trail, contour trail and then back on the Alec canyon trail, about 4.5 miles if you include hiking to the waterfalls for closer Vista points or touching the water. Absolutely amazing views! Kids did not complain about the distance and we completed the loop in 3 hours. There are lots of picnic tables with equally great views for lunch/snacking. Reservations are required and we noticed that we had to make the reservations by Wednesday for a weekend plan. The parking lot starts filling up fairly early. We had a reservation in the 8:00 am to 9:00 am slot and the lot was half filled by 8:30 am, when we arrived.

Good place for a short hike. If you do the full loop it is around 5 miles and change. To the first waterfall it is around 1 mile - good spot to turn around if you have kids. You can continue upwards- the rest of the hike is about a 4 mile loop. It is not particularly hard, about a total of a 1000 ft climb. The crowds thin out after you go past the first waterfall.

Beautiful place to hike just after the rains, lots of waterfalls in this park. The waterfall loop trail is an easy hike, not really a workout feels more like a pleasant nature walk.

Yes to both. There are some nice pools in the Creeks. As always, adult supervision is recommended.
Yes dogs on a leash are allowed to hike and also welcome to camp.
There is still plenty of water, it is beautiful.
It does $13 a box. But they can be sold out from time to time. You can bring your own. Cheaper that way too.
Yes, it's dog friendly! There's no rock scrambling or anything even close to that, and a good portion of the trails are quite wide.
There are a few waterfalls. Less than a mile from the parking lot and another waterfall is 1.5 miles..
You don't have to get reserved parking, just pay there at the machine. It takes card.
Yes but on weekends and holidays will have to make a parking spot reservation online before you go
The waterfall trail is good for toddlers. But you need to watch them closely near the creek.
I wouldn't say there's "plenty" of water but yes, there's enough water flowing. It can get really hot there, so bring plenty of water.
I believe all the reservations are out for this summer. Google 'uvas canyon county park camping reservations' and the first link would take you there.
There are water falls and trails at the park, but if you drive south by canyon road there is a water pond where you can fish.
As of 7/27/19 you don't. I just spoke to a park ranger and she said you don't need to make a weekend reservation. It was only in affect for 4th of July weekend so maybe check around holiday times.
T mobile doesn't have reception in the valley
Yes, there is still plenty of water in the creeks and falls. It's very nice.
