The SSA obviously has a lot of internal issues. My husband has not had a disability payment since Oct 2021 because they state they never received the forms they needed. Months of phone calls and messages. Mailing copies of what had already been sent as well as faxing. Reps stating they don't show anything was received but next call to them on same day a different rep says oh it's here. This goes on for months. Now, everything is just sitting in the payment processing dept. We have the same complaints as the others - long hold times, can't get through, disconnected, no return calls, etc. So disappointed. I would not give any star rating but you have to do at least one to post your review.

I visited here with my daughter and wife. It is great service that I have never experienced before. They work faster and accurately. Especially, counter No. 3 staff is very kind and working promptly. Also the manager was busy to walk around in SSA to increas the servic quality. Security officers are kind and hardwoking as well. If I have bisiness again at the SSA, I will visit to Long Beach SSA without hegitation. Special thanks for the officer in the count No.3.

On hold for over 45 minutes now. Local office just gives a busy signal and offers no in person appointments. Been calling and faxing for nearly 2 weeks without anyone answering. In 2 weeks I won't have my medicare coverage if I can't reach a live person. YIKES!

The security guard that was there the first time I went was a sweetheart and very helpful. But every time I try to drop off documents it’s been a problem. I also hate that they close at 4p.m. Seems a bit ridiculous to me they close at such a weird part of the day when the majority of people are still working.

Mieshia Martin And Jearld, Cochran,we both need a copy of ssi card I'm in Los Angeles what ssi building do we go to
It depends on the office. Some make you wait in line and some if you let the guard know your just dropping it in the drop box then they'll search you and then let you go.
I need a print out of proof of income
Yes, if you want to get your paperwork faster.
No appointment needed. Though, sometimes it is better/quicker to schedule an appointment.
Yes
It depends on what you're going for?
hi my name is ngocanh vo I would like to take appointment for apply medical card for me because I'm 65 years on august 5 1919pleasea can u give appoinment time and date please
Driver's license and birth certificate
Yes but if you are on ssi they will reduce your check 50 cents on the dollars after 65 dollars has cleared.
You need identification, like driver's license or green card or visa(if that applies), a birth certificate, and fill out the ss-5 form at home to save time, it's on the official website
my best advice is to go online www.socialsecurity.gov
Call your local office and they will help you make the appointment you need.
Call the local office and they will help you make the appointment.
Yes. You better get there ASAP because the line is way too long since 8:00 a.m.
What is my number
Your California ID, birth certificate, & social security card are a good start.
Call them and set one up.
no but it would be best..
I went into the office and they get your information, your telephone number. They give you a date to call you by phone to start the process.
You Need to call the number that they have posted on the window 888-256-2631
without an appointment you will not be able to get into the building, the security didn't even go over with the workers to ask questions. Many people were outside frustrated but they have to call the number and get an appointment
For getting a new SSN, you can gather all the copies of the required documents with an application letter, seal it in an envelope, and drop it in the dropbox located inside. Wait for few days, and you'll hear a call for the appointment.
The only thing you dont need an appt for is to drop off paperwork in the drop off box .
They said I can let the envelope in the mailbox outside the office
Yes, you do
Honestly I'm not to sure if there is.
You have to call the number they give out on the website but it can take a little while when I went I was only able to go in to drop off paper work but there wasn't anyone in the building but the security,
On line
Yes. You need to call your local office and make one
As of last week they weren't open for in person.
If you have documents that need to be sent in, they ask to mail the forms to the closet Social security office. If the situation matter is urgent, they can make an appointment for you to come in and speak to a clerk. They also don't have a public mail drop off box.
febreaury
you can call the bank you have now and have them cancel your direct deposit and ask your new bank to open direct deposit dont forget to let automatic payments know the change
You should call social security Adm. I am not sure if it applies to my situation,, I had my last name amended last year and I went in and reported it, I got it back in 2 weeks.
No, the offices are closed and only for appointment on certain matters. You would have to go online download application and mail it in with a copy of your ID , or lisence..
no they are not
You can call them to make an appointment.
Yes you can
noooo
It's also unfortunate that they make you go to the Social Security office in the city you reside in... It's as of they are discriminating against certain people ( color, religion, financial status, etc... to prevent them from being in their area.
monday to friday wenesday is a short day 9:00 a.m.to 12:00 noon
If you're referring to one on one filing, unfortunately, I can not give you a definite answer. Sorry, filing for benefits is something I have not had to do yet. I hope everything works out well for you. Sincerely, Angela
one week
No
This is something you are going to have to ask someone at Social Security. I really don't know. I am sorry.
You need to contact your local social security office and they will help you.
I think you do , but you should go report any changes
No. I dont think so
They close at 4:00 p.m. the earlier you get there the better. Once you are checked in they will speak to you. And they close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays .
It's FREEEEEE! :)
Same way as an adult, but present your identity card and also your ssn, and sign on their behalf. If they are under 12, you can do the whole thing at home, no need to wait in line
I moved from Orange county and now I'm in Long Beach my. Medical benefits have changed and so has my medical benefits. But I don't know what they are so hot do I find out what kind of medical benefits I have.
When can I make an appointment
Call the department of public social services and ask for In-Home Care department and they will tell you what to do to get a caregiver
