We moved recently to this complex, the personnel have all been great and made the move as smooth as possible. We have needed to call the maintenance crew a couple of times for minor things and they have all been very respectful and professional, handled the requests in a timely and efficient manner. I would recommend this complex to anyone considering it.

I rarely leave reviews but have really enjoyed it here since we moved in a few months ago! Staff is super kind and helpful and the apartment itself is great! Only downside is the electric bills are extremely high in price, but when I called the office about this they were very helpful in answering all of my questions about it! Honestly the quality of the apartment along with the staff, maintenance, etc. has truly exceeded our expectations. Love it here!!

We moved out in June after we purchased our home mostly due to Birge and Held’s incompetence. We dropped out final check off for what we owed to them in July. Today I received a notice from a debt collector that I still owed the complex. I have the RECEIPT to prove I paid them. My check is probably buried somewhere on Jennifer’s desk under the piles of paper. We were not even notified you lost our payment. We enjoyed the complex when it was a Watermark Property, but it became a disorganized mess when it was sold. All of the employees were forced out and their replacements were not at the same level. Throughout our stay after the sale we dealt with noisy neighbors, the smell of smoke in our apartment (smoking is prohibited on the property), as well as random people trying to enter our apartment. We were polite and respectful residents and this is how we were treated. Beware of this poorly run complex.

We both decided that after we both had separately owned many homes that we wanted somewhere to live with a pool, no maintenance. We tried one complex, and it was nice, we made forever friends, but one day my curiosity got me and the new apartments in Granger got a visit by us. It took one model visit to totally excite us so much that we paid to get out of our lease to move in. My brother is in a wheel chair and with no steps or thresholds and no carpet in the living area, it was perfect. Beautiful high ceilings, open concept design, extra storage, even the attached garages are awesome. Please get me started on the Amenities. The resort style pool, hot tub, Cabana shelters, state of the art fitness center, and as far as the human aspect of it, you won't find a better office staff, management, grounds and maintenance. We are here to stay..we are HOME...even though it feels like a vacation. Tell them Dixie sent you. Take a look and see why we love it so much!!!! "Wont you be my neighbor?!"

Questions & Answers

I planned to lease at The Villas on Fir but was hesitant after the negative reviews. I would like to ask the current residents whether the electricity bill is still a problem? Is it still $300+ during the winter? Please advise.

My bill was never over $240, but I'm 2nd floor, middle, 1 outside wall, never use front door, and keep it at a constant 76

Have the heating issues truly been fixed? I have already spoken with management and they told me that they installed more insulation etc. I want to hear from actual residents if the problem is actually solved though.

Insulation was installed in areas were the fire suppression piping was at risk of freezing. This was due to multiple frozen fire suppression pipes. There were Ecobee thermostats installed in all the apartments; however, we personally saw zero change in billing after this modification. There were also thermostats installed in the baseboard heaters; however, there were still complaints about the heaters always running. To my knowledge each set of buildings had there units with electrical billing troubles due to heating. I believe some buildings had no complaints, while others had multiple. Our bill did not change from start of the cold period to end. We set the thermostat at 65 at night and 67 during the daylight hours. The bill averaged $200-$250 per month. To sum it all up, I do not believe all the issues were addressed. We will find out here soon though.
