Consistently bad service. Many mails have been lost going through this post office. We can no longer trust the integrity of this post office to handle mails. This post office is located in the middle of a "Chinatown" ("Chan Marino"). Most workers here are Chinese and they prefer Chinese language over English! Good luck with getting things done right here. And they seem to be nicer to Chinese customers more than to others. It'd make you feel like you are actually in a post office in China! And the usual very bad customer service is the dominant theme here!

The worst. Noone at counter, waited two minutes for someone to appear. My priority box was prepared but person Linda told me to step out of line (there was another woman at tabletop preparing package and noone else) to write city and state. I thought the post office ran on zip codes? Then I waited again in line as Linda was reviewing two sheets of paper to look up and ackowledge me. When she looked up she again asked, 'can I help you?ʻ as if it was my first time at the counter. I said forget it. If you don't know that the USP Office runs on zip codes. I then asked to speak to the manager and surprise, she was it.

There is an older woman with blond hair working the counter today who is the rudest, nastiest person. PLEASE get rid of her or put her in the back room so customers don't have to listen to her. When I walked in today there was a young Asian woman wanting to mail an envelope. She apparentely didn't press hard enough on the address form and was told by this rude PO representive she had to write over the copy that was attached to the envelope so the information could be read. It was clear this woman didn't understand english and didn't know what she was suppose to do and kindly tried understand. One of the other workers came out from the back to help at the desk. The young lady asked in her language what she was suppose to do. He asked Miss Rude what was up and she snapped " I told her a million times she had to rewrite the address. She doesn't understand english, but she sure understands money!" He asked her if she had the top copy of the form so he could give it to the woman to show her what was needed and again that person snapped "Of course I do!" . Seriously, Get rid of her. In the past I've witnessed her rudeness and lack of respect and manners. I wish I had looked at her name tag, but I was so shocked by her attitude I could only feel for the young woman. Get rid of her and all will be well with the San Marino PO.

I'm giving it 5 stars because this is the least busiest post office around even though they have only around 2 workers at time. You can park in front and be in and out.

Questions & Answers

Has anyone in San Marino business community been getting their mail extra late in the day?

yes, my understanding is that they consolidated the routes and the mail carriers are having difficulties getting the mail delivered in a timely manner now

We are a commercial establishment. Our mail historically delivered between hours of 9am and 11am. Recently the mail is delivered late afternoon - and the past several days, shoved thru the mail slot after 5pm. What's up with delivery being prompt?!

My understanding is that they have consolidated the mail routes and the mail carriers are having a difficult time delivering the mail. We are also experiencing the same difficulties with our mail being delivered later and later ever day.
