As camping has become more popular in the past years more people are using the facilities. The shower rooms were dirty with trash, I was picking up trash on the beach and in the water. They need to hire more people to help keep the place clean.

Family has been coming here over 50 years. Not one time in 4 days did they clean the bathrooms/showers, had to request toilet paper which was never put in, sensor light in restroom did not turn on at night and the ADA compliance restroom was suddenly locked from the outside. After requesting it be opened again due to a camper needing the handrails, it was unlocked but they did not put any toilet paper in there. This used to be a beautiful friendly place to come but not anymore, very sad.

This is a great camping experience. The restrooms are clean the campsites are nice the fireplace is big and we felt very safe and comfortable camping here. We will all definitely be back and feel comfortable enough to come back with our family and children. There’s beautiful scenery around especially with Lake George nearby. The beach area is a very nice area as well and it is on the campsite

I love this campground! There are boating activities near by along side hiking or having a beach day by the lake. The staff at the campground is also very friendly and helpful. The only reason I don’t give the full five starts is due to cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers which can definitely be better kept and clearer.

All nys dec adirondack campgrounds are opening on 6/22. Currently there are workers preparing to open and day use is free. Bring your mask 🙂
Yes it's open into October 😊
Maybe try reserving a soon as the dates become available online. I've never gotten one, but I've gotten electric sites at other campgrounds by reserving really early.
They are further apart then koa's.
You should contact the Park directly. From experience, I can tell you that the month of June is usually uncrowded. It's a large park, so you should have no trouble finding a great campsite.
