My husband had an emergency appendectomy at SVH and had a very good experience. Great emergency room team, fabulous doctor, great after care. Can’t say enough about SVH.

The worst hospital in the world. My family had been going to this hospital for 50yrs, and never have I been treated with such incompetent people. My mom's in the icu and for some reason I'm not on the contact list. Spoke to a social worker at the hospital on Friday and this problem was supposed to be changed and wasn't. They won't tell me anything about my mom, so Tuesday after the 4th I'm contacting an attorney. This is the worst my family had ever been treated. Well never take myself or my mom or my dog to this hospital again

If you wanna die, head on over to Sonoma ER. Totally unqualified. Criminal behavior. Filthy facility. I was there twice between October and December for incredible chest pain, breathing issues, and really out of control tremors on my right side. I knew it wasn't anxiety. I told both docs both times it wasn't, neither one of them listened of course. I thought it was maybe long haul covid, but was unsure. Also, it was filthy both times I was there. It turns out my g.p. in Sonoma has grossly mismanaged my thyroid medication and I'm overly medicated. I found this out when my partner drove me to UCSF ER recently because I refused to go back to Sonoma Valley ER. They did simple blood tests and looked me up and down and figured it out. Thyroid problems are easy to diagnosis - if you know what you're doing. And Sonoma ER docs have NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING. UCSF was right. I stopped the meds and am getting a new doc. The symptoms are subsiding fast. I told a therapist about both visits and she was shocked I wasn't given a psych eval if the docs thought it was a psychiatric problem. Apparently a psych eval is standard at an E.R. for patients coming in with mental/emotional issues. I didn't have a psych issue as it turned out, but it's very clear they certainly won't treat you for a psychiatric or physical problem. LATER EDIT: I contacted the hospital as per their response to this review. They said they'd look into it and haven't written back. They have no intention of bettering the ER.

Sonoma valley Hospital saved my life by within minutes confirming I was suffering a heart attack and administrating medical treatment. I am eternally grateful that this facility is available to us here to the rural community's within Sonoma valley. Had they not been here in town precious time would have been wasted and I would have found myself in Napa, Santa Rosa or Petaluma with worse an outcome. I lived because of them.

Michael, Thank for your question regarding COVID-19 testing at the Hospital. Currently we are testing the following: All patients admitted to Emergency Department; those with a physician's referral (for non-travel); and patients scheduled for elective procedures. There are many COVID-19 testing sites throughout Sonoma County. Here in Sonoma Valley there are both regularly scheduled clinics as well as "pop-up" clinics. To learn more about these sites, you can visit our website to find the resources you need. A pop-up COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine clinic will be held Wednesday, August 11 from 10 am till 1pm at the Springs Community Hall in Sonoma Valley on 18627 Sonoma Highway (95476). No appointment required. Walk-ins weclomed!! LINK: Sonoma Valley Hospital/COVID-19 Resources: https://www.sonomavalleyhospital.org/coronavirus-2019/
