Not the Library IV I remember. Visited last Thursday. Salad bar is sub par with plentiful brown lettuce to choose from. Ordered the surf and turf with a slide of garlic mash. The steak was chewy and I had to spit it out. Best part was the tail. My garlic mash was tasteless. My son ordered just the filet with a side of broccoli - the filet was rubbery and the broccoli was bathed in garlic. There was more garlic on the broccoli then in the garlic mash.

We have been to this restaurant many times over more than 3 decades and usually enjoy the food. We specifically went to Library IV tonight to hear a band (a duo) that we have enjoyed at other venues. I made reservations for 4 and said that we might have as many as 7. I told the hostess that was taking my reservation that we were coming because of the band, that we wanted to be close enough to hear them and that we were coming for dinner and drinks. She said she understood. I called back within an hour to update the reservation to 5. She said no problem. After arriving and about 30 minutes passed,our food sat on the table getting cold because we were waiting for them to remake one of our party's meals that they gave to the wrong table. I still couldn't hear any music so I got up from our table and found the band far away on the other side of the bar. I spoke to the hostess and reminded her of our phone conversation. She said she couldn't accommodate 5. This wasn't a problem for her when I said that we might have 7. After asking the waitress at our table to speak to the manager, he eventually came about 15 minutes later. I explained to him (Kyle) my previous conversations and expectations and that we bought dinners and drinks instead of spending a couple of hours at the bar stretching out just a couple of drinks. His reply was that the band would be back and to ask for him next time. There was no effort to attempt to appease us for tonight. As far as the food goes, the salad bar was missing many usual items (broccoli, radishes, mushrooms, etc.), my medium rare ribeye was more to medium well. Likely because it was so thin. My wife requested a side of broccoli instead of French fries. There was a $5 upcharge for a broccoli side that is usually $5.95. So their French fries are only 95 cents?? On a side note, our waitress was pleasant, efficient and and checked up on us.

Excellent service, food, ambiance . They are very clean and compliant with state mandates is all aspects. I was nervous about the salad bar but they provide easy to use gloves prior to entering the area . I had Salmon it was Excellent. Highly recommend the Library IV. The owner Bryan welcomes and checks with everyone to assure everyone is happy.
