Good food, poor service. Waited 45 minutes for two tostadas and a coctel. Waiter didn’t care until we complained to owner. I gave it two stars cause the food is good. Work on your service!

Best Mexican seafood restaurant in East Los Angeles and probably Los Angeles if you factor in the price. 5 shrimp tacos, 2 fish tacos(more like fried fish platter), ceviche, and a round of sodas for 38 bucks. It's pretty spectacular. Oh and a top notch homemade salsa to die for. Got there early seated right away. Food came out right away. Nice people and great service. The list goes on and on and on and on. A gem in East Los!!!

Love this place! Never disappointed 😘 Owner is very welcoming. Staff is very nice. Food is outstanding with very reasonable prices. 👌 All seafood is very fresh. Kinda small but versatile as far as the seating. Yummy

El Jato Mariscos originally began as a food truck many years ago. Like with most food trucks, as business and popularity grew, they moved into their permanent, current location in East Los Angeles. Their menu is quite simple - only serving seafood with a clear focus on fish, shrimp and ceviche. Portions are huge but the fried items can be a bit oily. Considering all they serve is seafood, the restaurant itself doesn't reek of an ocean smell. With only four spaces in the claustrophobic parking lot, it's better to search for street parking.
