Magic Elite Basketball Academy is more than a developing basketball skills and confidence. It's fabulous. Most importantly, the coaches are amazing they give each player an important life lessons - resilience, cooperation, dedication, balance, respect. We're so happy with the experience. Thank you, Magic Elite!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this program is. The staff and the coaches are simply wonderful. My son has special needs and they went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and included. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing experience.

Our son Jackson loved the program! You could see his improvement immediately after starting. He has the fundamentals down now to help him grow his skills. All the coaches are great, very patient, kind and knowledgeable. We have to take a brief hiatus but can’t wait to get back on the court with Magic Elite. Thank you!

We appreciate how my son has been growing and improving not only skills and learning the game but mostly how coaches have modeled sportsmanship and how to be a teammate. He's also having so much fun while practicing, and we also appreciate the strength-based approach of coaching. It makes a huge difference when my son comes home after practice smiling with a positive attitude and showing me what he learned.

How is your program different than other programs?

Magic Elite Basketball Academy - Laguna Hills | Jul 23, 2022

There are 4 main differences between Magic Elite and other youth sports programs in the OC area. 1) We are primarily a skills development workshop (i.e. academy) that provides athletes with a pathway to more competitive experiences. This is different than traditional leagues and clubs that emphasize gameplay and competition over foundational skill development. 2) We only work with paid, professional coaches that have extensive youth sports experiences and aspirations to make coaching a full-time career. Magic Elite members are never coaches by volunteers. 3) We maintain a strict player-to-coach ratio of 5:1, meaning that for every five athletes on the court at any given time, there is at least one coach there to work with them directly. This gives athletes the individual attention they need while also minimizing distractions. 4) We are a year round program. This gives athletes the chance to set and achieve long term improvement goals.
