My experience with MKT has been AMAZING thus far! I moved to Wilmington because I was searching for an easier commute to work and found 627 N. Market Street. I recommend to give it a try if you are also searching for a place where you can walk around to distress from your daily routine. The staff is very friendly and quick to address any questions or concerns!

I’m giving this apartment a 1 star because I have lived all over the world and this is the worst experience I have ever had renting . We had the security alarm in our building going off for 2 months straight because the maintenance guy refused to come and fix it. It took me calling everyday for 2 months straight to finally get them to look into it.when I would finally get a hold of maintenance they would be rude and tell me they will be there when they feel like it. I personally would not recommend renting here.

It has been about 15 years since I have rented and when I found 627 Market St. I was amazed by the spacious room in the apartment. I love that all the cabinets and drawers are soft close, the refrigerator is large with an ice maker. These are things you normally don't find in an Apt., washer and dryer are conveniently located in my bedroom closet and are updated as well. The staff at 627 are so friendly and helpful with anything I may need, from Erin in the leasing department helping me with a lost key to the awesome maintenance staff helping me with a light bulb in my apt. for the high ceilings. The place always smells good and kept clean from the entry way to the elevator to the trash/recycle room and open floor area from the elevator to the apartments. Pricing here is fair to good for what you get compared to neighboring places that don't have all the finer upgrades or the helpful and courteous staff. I look to live here for a long time as I know I will not find a better layout with the amenities throughout that are in my home.

I moved to the area somewhat abruptly, and stumbled upon MKT. I fell in love with the apartment I was shown at the beginning of the tour. Seconds after deciding that I wanted to live in the apartment, a second realtor entered the apartment, apparently showing the apartment to someone else, at the same time as my showing. I’ve been renting for nearly ten years, but this transparent attempt at creating a sense of urgency was pretty unnecessary. Although it was obvious that they were just trying to pressure a potential resident into getting the apartment, I needed to move into a place soon, and didn’t have more time to look. I decided to apply, despite the painfully obvious double-teaming: this mistake is totally on me. The extent to which deceit is considered acceptable in this business had already been witnessed, so early in the process. I applied for the apartment on Thursday, which involved the typical non-refundable application fee, along with a hold fee of $200. I was explicitly told that the hold fee was refundable, and that the apartment would be ready early next week, because it only needed to be cleaned. I’m well aware that it is unusual to request such a quick move-in, but the apartment was unoccupied, and the leasing office was, evidently, desperate to fill it. I was approved quickly, and tried to get in touch with the leasing agent who showed me the unit. She did not respond to emails and was impossible to reach by phone. I called the office on Monday - I had been told the apartment would likely be ready for move in, by then. I was told by their office that she wouldn’t be in until Tuesday, which led me to inquire as to who else I could work with. It was stated that I would only be allowed to work with the leasing agent I had met with, so I requested to speak to the manager. After being placed on another long hold, I was told that the manager wasn’t available, and I would just have to wait for the leasing agent to reach out to me. Keeping in mind I had been readily approved, and had been lied to multiple times, I went and I found another apartment. At the new place, I was easily able to sign a lease within 24 hours. I sent another email to the leasing agent at MKT, formally informing her that I would not be getting the apartment, and would like the hold fee back. Once again, I did not hear back from her via email, and repeatedly called their office. Once again, it took significant effort to reach her. She stated that she had never said the apartment would be ready by early in the week (yet another brazen lie) and that I would be unable to get the hold fee back, because this was considered to be a cancellation, on my part. I cancelled, despite an immediate approval, because I was consistently deceived and lied to - most egregiously, about my promised move-in date. I have a paper trail that documents the fact that this leasing agent never got back to me: she told me I never emailed her, but my email account can clearly demonstrate otherwise. At the end of the day, they caused a notable amount of stress, lied pervasively, and stole $200 from me. Wouldn’t it be easier and more lucrative to tell people the truth and get them into apartments? I have no doubt they will go to great lengths to manipulate their way out of any situation, which makes me thrilled that I did not end up living under the control of this management. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs. Easy to believe that all these other reviews are paid for.
