There’s a lovely lake nearby with an easy walking path. When we were there we saw many pair of Greece and their goslings. It’s also a great place to go bird watching.

Mine is a small one n got tired half way up, so the next time l tried the flat trails, arround the lake is a nice walk too

Should be a few great maps you can find on the "AllTrails" app on iPhone and Android. Just search Pena Adobe and it'll show various maps of the whole area.
I have seen at least 2 that paddle board last month.. If that helps..
Most are off leash. I've never seen a horse when I go to the park.

I believe they close the gates at sunset. You can park in a small area right outside the gates though.

We just ate lunch there and left about 1:30 and yes it is open and no there was no staging by any firefighters.
