A very well organized Christmas lights event in a nice neighborhood in Brea. The entire attraction will take about 45 minutes to drive through. You can also choose to walk, but it's a huge neighborhood and you probably have to park across the street. It's mainly a drive through event. If you want to get good pictures it's best to walk, otherwise hop out of the car to get a good picture. This is my second year going, and the decorations have pretty much stayed the same (I really can't tell anything major from last year besides the fact that it's less busy this time around).

I used to come to see the lights back in High School each year. It was the go-to spot for dates (and families of course). After moving away and visiting again it's great to see this tradition is still alive and booming. When I say booming, wow do I mean it. Back then you could find a spot aplenty across the street and walk in, or wait a little while and drive through. These days it's trafficked with crazy wait lines and precious little space to walk, given covid circumstances. They had plenty of cops on Birch, but that's about where the traffic direction ends. What you will get are gorgeous lights and great smells as people camp out with their firepits and spread some holiday cheer. If that's worth the wait for you, then you'll probably enjoy it. Also, my favorite decorations were the dinosaurs.👍

My first experience to view these homes which are so nicely decorated with Christmas lights and decor. A lot of traffic during my weekend visit. I parked about one mile west, and dined at a family owned Italian restaurant. After dining, I made the easy walk to the neighborhood. It was also easier in my opinion, while walking, to take photos of the decorated and lighted homes.

This neighborhood is absolutely amazing! Almost every house had elaborate Christmas displays. I loved the amount of variety in the decorations! Some had the old school light up Santa’s while others went totally modern with modern LED lights! I couldn’t put my phone down because each house was better than the last!!! I felt like a kid again and 2 hours just flew by! I highly recommended this as a family destination!!! Although adults will be thoroughly impressed as well so I highly recommend this for everyone looking to feel the holiday spirit and pure joy! 🥰 This is the BEST place to go with any group! 👍

We just drove through (11/29), only a handful of houses had them on. I read a post that they usually start Dec 1st.
Yes they still have the displays until the first week of January. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄🎄
Wr got there just around 6. Traffic is crazy i strongly suggest parking at the school just before the entrance and walk around the neighborhood. You just follow the line of cars around the strrets
I think it is better to drive around so you can listen to the different stations that go with the lights.
Yes, I drove through the other night the kids loved it!
Not yet, we just drove through (11/29) and only a handful of houses had them. I read on another post it's usually Dec 1st.
Well me and my family go every year and on a Saturday night there's usually some kids selling got chocolate. It's fun and fun to support and you can definitely walk around there's even a house completely decorated inside and out and you can go in and check it all out. I think that's only on Sat.
I'd day that 60% of the houses in the neighborhood are decorated. Of that 60%, maybe 1/2 of them are decked out. I'd go again, but i wish there was a map that showed where the more nicely decorated houses are.
I'm guessing the neighborhood would consider mid-night reasonable for everyone to enjoy the festivities. But, also I would think when the last car in line is done going around in their houses. But, the time is 10pm.
I parked at the school there is only one way into the staff parking lot
Yes there are a lot of houses decorated again this year! I can only think of a few that were not decorated.
I went about 4 days ago, and I didn't see anybody selling stuff.
Yes. I chose to walk it
I went yesterday, Nov 27th, some houses decorated already.
Yes
Probably after Thanksgiving. Just guessing 😅
If you get there early there is parking in the buildings across the way.
Yes, this is a residential area, not closed to the public.
We just went yesterday and drove in the tracks didnt get off to walk and still had a great time
As Christmas day nears it will get more packed dont recommend driving as its bumper to bumper tip to park in the industrial areas across the neighborhood and walk over
On the weekend some homes do sell hot chocolate, coffee and one was handing out cookies to the kids
Yes you can
Not all it normally gets better like 2 weeks befor Christmas.
This should be the last weekend and usually close down around 1030
This is an open neighborhood with public access throughout the year, so yes. Most lights and decorations stay up until New Year's Day.
Yes
around 01/06
Yup, usually on until 945ish, most places turn their lights off at 10ish
They start shutting down at 1030
We went at 5:30. All of the houses were lit up and it wasn't too crowded.
I went yesterday and I did not see any tamales sale, only hot chocolate
We went during the week,it was not crowded
Not all are up yet
I haven't heard that. I went there recently and not many houses set up yet. Hopefully by the beginning of December the neighborhood will be lit up. Keeping my fingers crossed.
starts from December 11 onwards
No, the lights are not up yet.
Why such a Smart a$$, Patrick? lol...
I guess it starts on 2 day before Christmas..
No
They no longer are. Ver sorry. Get em this year around Christmas time though.
The best times are after sunset
Yup. Like other days just remeber to be respectful of the families and thier homes
At around 5
Anyone can drive through the entire neighborhood. The speed is very slow due to soo much traffic but if you were driving the speed limit at 25 then you wouldn't enjoy each and every house 😊
Sometimes the residents do dress up as Santa, but it is entirely up to their prerogative.
I'm not sure but these things tend to get busier as Christmas nears.
There isn't a parking lot, as it's a neighborhood. They only allow parking on one side of the street and there is no stopping, so you wouldn't be able to load/unload people into a vehicle. My suggestion is to get there early and find a parking space on the side of the street where it is allowable.
From the Brea Downtown, travel east on Birch Street, toward Valencia, any night after the first weekend of December.
