Unprofessional Slick Con-Men. Beware!

Totally impersonal. The agent I signed with, I like- but overall you’re not treated like an individual and if you miss one audition, you get a curt, snarky copied and pasted email from them telling you that you’ve been dropped. Last week I had a callback for a huge national commercial. This week I couldn’t do a self tape for a different commercial and I was dropped within 5 minutes. No conversation, no chat, just dropped like an iPhone in a toilet. It’s like an agency for cattle. If you’re ok having an agent that you never speak to, and auditioning for things that you don’t even think are a fit just to keep them happy, then they’re for you. There are no conversations, check-ins, nothing. If you’re looking for an agency where they care about your career, look elsewhere.

The best agency in the city hands down, if anyone has had any issues with this agency it because of that person not the agency. This agency has the best relationships with casting and production and will fight for you, but you have to also be a professional!!

I’ve been on many auditions with this agency, and booked an advertisement with Fed Ex but never received payment. It’s been over 3 months now... I emailed and called several times and got absolutely no response or help but they continue to bug me with new auditions... if I can’t get paid for my work why would I agree to more auditions? Very unprofessional, I had high hopes for them.

To launch a singing career and to launch a acting career is two totally different disciplines. Daniel Hoff is a well-respected a list commercial agent with mega talent in his pool it's taking me 40 years to get to the point where I can say I'm in his pool I would look for voice coaches coaches to learn the disciplines of being a singer and then learn the disciplines of being an actor before you would go to an a-list agent for acting representation. Shows like America's got talent was it songbook those types of shows that have active singing coaches on staff or your local college or community college.
You never pay for an agent. At any cost. They get paid a percentage of why you get paid if you sign with them. NEVER pay to get an agent. They get paid when you get paid.
