Newegg gets a lot of flak, especially lately. But they are one of the largest and best known electronics resellers. Of course there are going to be issues from time to time. I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of gear at Newegg. When I have a problem with it, the refund process is easy and quick. If a package gets lost (rarely but happened one time), they contact UPS/FedEx on your behalf, and I had my money back in no time. Sure, you can share your indignation with the world that your order hadn't shipped but it was only at label creation. What do you expect, a guy to sprint from the corporate office shouting the number of your order to stop the pressses? The best thing, IMO about Newegg is that they carry models and gear that no one else does. The most GPU selection, the latest memory from Gskill, etc. I search for a lot of SKUs at Newegg and if it's not there, chances are it's not in channel at all yet.

Purchased a NAS and associated drives but they did not meet expectations and I was very disappointed. I bought them with confidence expressed on Newegg's web site of "No hassle Returns" along with "No restocking fees" and "Free Return Shipping." Unfortunately I had to pay return shipping and was charged substantial restocking fees. Neweggs's response was that their Marketplace items are items sold and shipped by the seller directly. Their seller has different criteria even tho purchases and returns are through Newegg. They say that this information is available, but Buyer Beware...you just have to find it. Not nearly as obvious as their Free shipping, and no restocking fees on their huge web site claim.

NEVER buy from Newegg. They misrepresented a computer (wrong size) and then charged me $80 to return it (shipping & restocking, which wasn’t mentioned at order time). I should have checked their reviews before ordering. They’re awful. My bad. Don’t make the same mistake. UPDATE-Natalie at Newegg contacted me about giving her my order information in order to (help me?) investigate further. I sent her the order numbers (yes, I ordered a replacement 11" computer, also was misrepresented and again sent back with another postage-restocking fee--totaling over $115 charge for 2 orders--I didn't follow my own advice to never order again from Newegg--and 48 hrs later I've heard nothing. Natalie, could you please follow up? FINAL UPDATE--After checking on my $115 in return charges, Natalie said they would return $18, primarily because the 2nd computer was purchased from a 3rd party who sets its own return policy. SO, when you buy from Newegg you likely aren't buying from them, but some other entity. (At least Amazon tells you this when that happens). So, final tally = I purchased nothing and Newegg kept $97 of mine after selling misrepresented items. STAY AWAY!!!!! LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS!!! I didn't and paid. Thanks, Natalie.
