I really appreciated a few things about John and Nina's service: they were able to add me to their schedule the same day, they kept me informed when the job before mine was going long, when they did arrive they gave my problems their full attention and stayed until they were happy with the finished result even though it was Friday night of a 3 day weekend. I'm very glad I called them to get my AC checked out and tuned back up.

First let me say that I called Silicon Valley Comfort because I had a previous excellent experience with them when my AC was broken. From that time on, I knew I would be calling them for all of my HVAC issues. This time I thought I had a problem with my furnace as I was having a burning smell in my kitchen when it was blowing heat. John took apart the furnace but could not find anything wrong and he said it was in good working order and surprisingly clean. To make a long story short, it turns out that I had a stinky plant in my kitchen and when the heat was blowing it made it worse. He could have told me that the furnace needed servicing or parts and I would not have known differently. But he and Nina(who actually figured out the problem!) are honest. I don’t even bother to call any other HVAC company anymore. Silicon Valley Comfort is honest, reliable and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

John & Nina provided excellent service and were the only HVAC company out of the 8 I called in the San Jose area that were able to come same day to fix my AC unit after hours on a hot weekend. Most companies probably would have just swapped the capacitor and left. They were professional and went above and beyond the traditional AC repair. John performed a complete high tech analysis of my system and provided recommendations to improve my HVAC system at no extra cost. Great value and great service, highly recommend for anyone in SJ.

I called a few places that had good google and yelp reviews. However, this company was the only one that got to me within a few hrs. Other places did not pick up nor did they return the phone call within the same business day. As the services I received was not a 1 day job, it was very comforting that either John or Nina was accessible and responded to texts or phone calls within the hour. When they came for the consult, they were very honest. I have had people trying to sell certain monthly maintenance services. However, John was not like that. He explained what needed to be done and some of the maintenance practices that can help us avoid frequent services. Although the repair of our unit turned out to be longer than the promised time, as complications did arise, he still honored his fees and did not nickle and dime us. He and Nina came after their other jobs (after hours) to complete ours as quickly as possible, which I appreciated very much! Very hardworking. I very much recommend this company. Our AC runs so much more efficiently now and we will be calling again if ever the need!

Our staff takes all calls 24-hours everyday, we do not use a phone answering service to lie about our availabilities, in order to book customers on the next business day. There are many contractors that claim to be open 24-hours, but the majority will not live up to that. We charge a flat rate price for diagnostic and all services and parts that may be needed on every repair job. On normal business hours we charge $149.00 to diagnose the equipment, we dig deeper than just enough to find a faulty part or component to sell you. We look at the system as a whole, because in most cases, the faulty part in an HVAC unit failed for an underlying reason. We do not charge per hour, so we spend the time to find the source of the failure and offer our customers the option to resolve the issues as well as make the repair. On after-hours or holidays, we are available, and we charge 249.00 for the diagnosis, plus a flat rate repair on the spot. We can provide a price book at customers request.
We charge a flat $149.00 to diagnose the system, explain in detail our findings, offer a solution for repair, as well as make any other necessary improvements to prevent the failure from recurring.
Well, it all depends on the amount of wires that are available and or connected to your existing thermostat. If there are the appropriate wires already in place, then we charge $100.00 to install the nest. (from a Certified Nest Pro). If extra wires are needed, we do charge an additional fee to pull another set of wires through the walls and to the furnace. More often than not, that is the case, and we need to pull additional wires to provide the nest thermostat with a 24v common wire, which will power the nest. The price of the additional wires would depend on the length and the level of difficulty. Note: Were currently offering a free tune-up | Maintenance on the existing furnace or Air Conditioner at no cost for customers that are purchacing a nest from us at $250.00 plus the $100.00 dollar installation fee.
