You don't find hotels like this anymore. If you are coming to Lake City, you appreciate small town hospitality. From the fresh ground coffee to the comfortable beds AND pillows, rooms are clean and well equipped for a great basecamp for fun. My wife hurt her back out jeeping and Tracy bent over backwards to make sure she was ok. Wonderful people and hotel. We will stay there again!

Very welcoming family run lodge. Room was clean & spacious. We appreciated the fridge and microwave, but most of all the spectacular views. Oh ya, and the pizza is on point!

We needed a place to stay last minute after needing tire work done from crossing Engineer Pass. Tracy (the owner) was incredibly accommodating and got us two rooms right away and let us check in early. The rooms were clean, and when we needed an extra fan, the staff went the extra mile to find one and bring it to the room for our kids.

This place is awesome! Tracy was very accommodating when we had to check in late. She made sure we had up to date information on the hikes we were going to do in the area. She also gave us some great suggestions for restaurants in lake city. The rooms were nice! Comfortable beds and plenty of space. A nice kitchenette in case you wanted to cook your own food. Definitely coming back to the moose!
