What a great place to find quality merchandise and at such a great bargain! The 1st Saturday of every month features everything in the store at 1/2 off (including jewelry & furniture). Open since 2012 the mission of Hillcrest Thrift stores is to provide 90 day transitional housing to people in need. They are taught to gain employment, budget their money, keep an apartment, learn new skills and so much more as long as they follow the guidelines of the program. Apartments are located in Lee's Summit and Independence, MO. Almost all the proceeds from the thrift store go back to the program! Hey, they are having a 1/2 off storewide sale on ' Black Friday ', Nov. 26, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Come on out!

I’ve been going to this thrift store for years and by far the best in the area. Always had nice staff, good selection, clean, and the best prices anywhere. I learned more about their mission when my daughter’s girl scout troop volunteered here. 100% volunteers and 100% proceeds go towards helping the homeless in our community. I have shopped and donated so many car fulls to this place because I believe so much for what they do unlike other thrift stores in the area where a high % of proceeds actually go to the CEO and prices are outrageous for used items (Red Racks) which I refuse to shop at. Over the past few years there has been a management change and this place is going downhill fast!! Prices are going up and the staff is beyond rude!! I have some coupons from donating so many car fulls to this place. I went to use one one day and they said I used one the other day and accused me of stealing coupons!!! Senior day on Wednesdays 50% off used to be packed and shopper’s carts full. I went last week and now it is only 25% off. There were few shoppers and those there bought very little. The manager guy, another lady that seems to be in charge, and a couple of other older ladies are there almost everyday now and all are equally rude! I can’t imagine they are volunteering that much time and I question whether the proceeds are still going to the homeless or lining their pockets which is despicable! My mom went there one day and upon leaving she noticed her receipt stated $30 (correct) but they charged $60 to her credit card. She immediately went back in and they argued with her in front of all, actually accused her of stapling a different receipt to the register receipt, or basically stealing. The manager came over and accused her of stealing and they were not going to refund her money until my mom pointed out that the date and time matched on the receipts. They didn’t apologize, they rudely took out cash from the drawer, shoved it at her, and walked off. My mom was mortified! The new management is destroying a place that used to be amazing and is hurting the mission.Very sad.....looks like greed is their number one mission now!!

It would be a pleasure to give a 5 Star rating as I love everything about this place and their cause. Unfortunately I have to leave in a few short minutes each visit as Country Music Is always turned up beyond tolerance.

Absolutely
Google the number and give them a call. Nice staff. Very friendly and helpful..
Saturday yes...not Sunday or Monday.
I think they do. At least for smaller items. Not sure about Christmas trees or really large items.
No ma'am. All sales final
Wednesday is for seniors.
They should be.
Depends on condition...this is a resale shop and must be saleable
No
They take donations at t dock in back of store or if large items call & they will send a thriftstore truck to pick zp your items.
Yes
Yes. According to the Facebook post, one day a year they have 75% off.
You should probably call them to find out what the policies are on things like that.
This is Google maps, the store doesn't monitor this. You would need to call them
I don't think they really have a way to inventory check on Google maps. You could probably call them and have better luck.
I don't think they have home pick up either.
