Lovely river views and rocky/sand beaches to walk along when the water is not at its highest. However, it is a heavy breeding ground for ticks and the overall hiking leaves much to be desired. There are no true locatable hiking trails or trail heads to be found for quite a drive into the area. Plus side, lots of great bird watching. Pheasants, quail, birds of prey, magpies, etc.

Great adventure to be found right outside of tri cities.

It was great. The sand dunes were a sight to behold. The 1.5mile trail was an easy enough trail for families to hike together. Many landscape to take picture of, and with you in it. Top of the sand dunes were truly amazing. Note from me, there are many large insect along the trail and the dunes[no worries, they're harmless], bring several water if going during mid-day, UV sunglasses, hiking sandals, hat, and maybe a mask to protect your mouth from sands(if your planning to climb up the dunes)

Just over 4 miles of dirt road, then about 3 miles of paved, takes you down to the historic ferry landing site and the original townsite of White Bluffs
