This place is gorgeous and did not have one single piece of litter on the trail. I intend to return soon! I recommend downloading all trails if you’re new to hiking.

Nice hike with many offshoots, but easy to follow the main trail. Went 4 days after a rain and there waa water in the creeks and crayfish in the pools right off the trail. Rocks for kids to climb, but watch for poison ivy. Easy hike for getting the kids out in nature.

I dont think anyone would stop you, but I'm not sure if its allowed or not. I would go for it!

There is but couldn't find any office or ranger to pick one up. We just parked and asked majority of the people there didn't pay or couldn't find a place to pay. That's how we found out, there's also a government shut down no one is going to check for vehicles right now. (re-edit 4/19/19)There is a new sign posted for parking fees and permits don't didn't get a chance to look at it somone was behind me waiting to park. There was a park ranger there last week he or she may be able to tell you where to go for permit? Don't know how often rangers show up there is a link for park office I believe on the new sign?
Never seen one, but they are in the area! Never wise to hike alone!
