I give them 5 stars for their friendly staff, but the essence of radiation for cancer itself is a flawed one. I had 33 treatments last summer for a rare head and neck cancer. Not only did this not kill the cancer, it destroyed my immune system and the skin where the cancer originated, so that only 2-3 months later the cancer came screaming back in the weakened skin. Please think twice before using something like radiation to heal your body, as radiation is only destructive.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. The whole staff is amazing and made my journey throughout the treatments extremely pleasant. It was a bittersweet moment during my last visit. I enjoyed and looked forward with each visit due to the staff and then it came to an end 😢. From the front door to all the way to the back where I got my daily zap of radiation was AWESOME! Took me by surprise when I received my graduation gifts on the last visit. This place and the staff will always be remembered as a great experience for me.

I'm considering Scripps vs another hospital but having read the above review about "wait times" re 1 1/2 hrs it's very concerning. Has the issue been resolved? The woman ive been talking to there at Scripps about a consultation so far has been wonderful that's why im a bit taken back by the above review re wait times. Thank you.

The staff in the front is great. The doctors and staff behind the doors are horrible. We had to wait an hour and 20 mins. Someone came out once and said they would be back in 5 minutes. I has to have someone call back there 20 minutes later. Schedule your appointments according... a patient should not have to wait that long. If you tell us to be there at 1115 see them at that time... it has been a consistent problem over 7 weeks of treatment.

Do you still do a PET scan before treatment? My wife was treated in your facility in 2015 and 2017 her cancer cells were eradicated. Now, we are here in the Philippines but we are planning to come back to San Diego for her continuing treatment.

IF IVE HAD RADIATION ONCE FOR BRAIN TUMOR CAN I HAVE PROTON THERAPY AFTER 6MONTHS OR 9 MOTHNS

daliya robson | Oct 26, 2021
California Protons Cancer Therapy Center | Oct 26, 2021

Each case is unique so our physicians would need to review your records. The nice thing about proton therapy is that it is so precise, it does allow for retreatment with radiation to the same location - unlike traditional x-ray radiation. Our physicians would just need to determine the optimal length between doses.
