I need to get my copy( certified) of birth certificate ASAP for dmv renewal, really quick ?

My understanding (based on info from a rep at the Vital Records Dept) is no. You have to send the actual certified copy of the birth certificate to the Secretary of State Notary Dept in the state the document was issued. In CA, this can be done in Sacramento by mail or Los Angeles via drop box. There is a form you fill out available online. Each page costs $20 (check or money order) & you need to include a preaddressed&prepaid priority 2day envelope (otherwise it’s sent via regular mail to the address on your cover letter).
