I am a Korea war vet and find it impossible to make telephone contact with the VA facility in Oceanside....veterans must wait an insane amount of time to get a recording then when the machine answers and directs my call to Audio Services the veteran must wait again, THEN is cut off and the telephone goes dead. Totally a lack of concerns by certain VA management and SOME VA employers like the Audio Dept in Oceanside

I normally don’t have an issue but I have been having chronic pain. The pain management team is trying to figure it out. I had a follow up from the ER five weeks ago with my primary on the White clinic. I was out of work for two weeks. Now I am going on three weeks just to get a return to full duty note. I was told it takes up to 20 business days to get a return to work note, but you can get a note to be off work in 24hours. Don’t ever take off work because you won’t ever get a note to return to work.

Usually have a great experience at this VA clinic whenever visiting my primary care and optometry. However, today was the worst and a complete waste of my time I had to take out my morning. Had an 8:30am dermatology appt which I arrived early. Took over 30min to be called back (not counting my early arrival) + 10-15 min until I actually saw this "Dr" Carter who obviously took no time to prepare to see her patient and was acting as if I was interrupting her morning, came across very dismissive. I did not leave there feeling I recieved adequate care from a competent professional. *Late update This “doctor” reached out saying she’ll have a follow up appointment set-up. Never heard back from Dermatology at all. All this happened in Jan 2021 it’s currently Aug 2021.

Yes Teresa, at any VA facility.!
Service-connected veterans will have that indicated on their VA Health ID
Reportedly you may get one at the Oceanside VA. They have to take your photo and require positive IDs. However, it takes reportedly 10 days to get the ID Card, but i have been waiting for nearly 30 days. Reportedly, my card is on hold, but I can't find out why.
No hospital here
Release of information form
Yep, it's pretty easy to find. They are on the second floor of the clinic near Opthalmology and Optometry.
No ER there
Contact your funeral service and tell them that he's/she's a Veteran and they know what to do.
E benefits page you can do all of that
Only if you are rated for dental
Not really Go to the new county service officer building on Mission Ave. in Oceanside
Yes. It's a Quantiferon test. Your doctor will need to place the order.
All I can say is the V.A. has its own security called the V.A. police. Maybe contact them.
Yes, But you will need an appointment with the CSO, located in the main hall 1st floor of the Oceanside CBOC.
I think the best thing to do is for you to go in and talk to the people in primary care in person. They can answer all your questions and sign your dad up with a primary care doctor. If your dad doesn't have a VA card he néeds to get one. Start at the front desk and they will direct you to where you need to go.
Yes Wednesday at 1600 hours in mental health
No
You might have to go to La Jolla I'll look up the numbers and try to see if I can find my way back to this site[
Go to USA JOBS and open an account...then add resume with the resume builder and any pertinent documents. Then search for jobs and apply. Good luck.
Yes appointment and even so they will mail the glasses to your house on file. The best option is to go to San Diego va hospital cause other places like oceanside require your primary care doctor to be established first at the location.
Thursday. White clinic. 9am to 1pm
All I know is the lab is open from 07:30 - 3:30 pm
You have to talk to your provider (Dr) who will intercede for you and get the additional benefits for you.
If you contact your provider and you are due a replacement it will be mailed to you at home. However, there is a Prosthetics Department here at Oceanside.
I'm not a doctor, but believe it's nothing except water after midnight. I've always just not eaten anything from wakeup to labs.
Yes
A couple of miles west on Mesa Dr (past El Camino Real and Foussat Rd.) Is Buddy Todd Park -- very scenic and nice.
Mornings, 7:30-2:30
