This is for the Jewel-Osco in Homewood on Kedzie. This is the worst Jewel ever. All I wanted was some fresh fish and I had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to come back to the meat department. Finally, he came and complained that everytime he takes an effing 15 minute break, a customer starts complaining (his words). So, I'm guessing he was the only one working in that department and had no one to relieve him for lunch or breaks. In the meantime, the customers had to wait over 30 minutes and listen to this young silly character complain. That's bad management and scheduling. They need to increase the pay and hire people that actually want to work.

Although this location doesn't have as comprehensive a grocery and prepackaged prepared food as other larger stores,, the staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I visit this Jewel-Osco at least twice weekly.

A neighborhood staple for many years. If you’re looking for food from the ‘hood’, this is the place. You can find greens, catfish, and many other foods that most big box stores won’t carry. Well organized and neat and tidy. Glad to see them hang in there during these different and difficult times. I’m sure the local folks appreciate it.
