When we were finally seated it took about 10 to 15 minutes for us to be given our drinks and over an hour to get our food. The waitress had to ask multiple times about what salads we ordered which were just garden salads. My drink refill tasted like bleach and I could not get the young lady's attention to take it back. We were also celebrating a birthday in our group and the lady told us everyone was too busy to bother...but she had time to be on her phone. This was my first time in a hooters and my last.

The hostess was awesome when we first walked in! She offered pretty much every single table option available (Hi top, booth, bar seating, booth in the bar, etc), and let us sit at whichever one we wanted. Once we were seated, we noticed how cool the restaurant itself was atmosphere wise. We had high hopes for the rest of the experience based on how we were greeted and first impressions; however, our experience took a turn. Our waitress really only did the bare minimum for service (i.e. got drinks for us when we first arrived, took our order, gave us our food, etc.), but she failed to come back to her table to ask how our food was after we had been served. She also never asked if we wanted a box at the end of our meal, and there was enough food on the table that she should have known to ask. We ended up leaving without taking any of the food home since we were never asked/offered. On top of this, the food came out lukewarm and the fries were also lukewarm and borderline undercooked. Furthermore, the same three male cooks that were in the kitchen kept walking out and leaving for the restroom together at several points during our dining experience. It was a very odd sighting to say the least. We figured that was the reason for our food delay and also probably the reason that the food was mediocre in temperature and taste. At the end of our dining experience, my boyfriend went into the bathroom and said that the restroom was absolutely disgusting (trash was full/overflowing and the floor was sticky). We are pretty severely disappointed overall. The only reason we gave such a "high mark" at this point was because of our initial wonderful experience with the hostess. Had it not been for her, the rating probably would have been lower.

The waitress was inattentive to my parties needs. We sat at the table for about 20 mins before we were ever waited on, and were not even informed that we had to pull up the menus on our phone, when we clearly saw some other customers with regular menus. The server, she went missing for long periods of time, and I waited for sweetener for my tea over 15 mins, to the point I had almost forgot about it. We also never got offered refills, as our server only showed back up when we were gathering to leave. It's nice to be slurping ice when you're eating fried food! Food was mediocre at best. Not to mention, it was so smoldering hot in there you could barely breathe. Not a great experience.

11:00 and the next half hour the last 2 booths are the make up area for the waitresses. Except for the bartender, the rest of the staff stays in back until your order comes. Our party waited 50 minutes from the time we ordered until the food came. Doesn't even feel like a hooters or a fun place to come for lunch. The one in Merrillville is 10X better.
