Beware! I purchased a Plumeria labeled Divine. A year later when it bloomed, it was NOT a Divine. I contacted Jungle Jacks and they refuse to do anything to correct their error. When I searched, I found many others who experienced this issue with Jungle Jacks. I love plumeria but will NEVER purchase from them again. I believe this is an unethical manner of doing business and will not support them with future purchases. There are plenty of other growers.

I will say this, if you are familiar with plumerias and know how to grow them then they will grow really well in a state that gets very hot and dry. However I did purchase one plumeria on my wish list called desert sunrise and it looked really healthy even when I planted it in the ground till the black scab it came with got larger and the stem has tiny black freckles, but it wasnt the only plumeria that bad this issue since I bought Pocahontas last year that had the same thing that ended up being trashed since I had no luck finding out what it is and if it will spread to my other plumerias. I also sent them an email explaining what im concerned about with photos. Hopefully they reach out to me soon since I know it isnt fungus because my fungual spray that works on all plumerias didnt do the trick. Cali sunset is growing though since I bought them at the same time and I hope she blooms for me this year. 5 stars because they are awesome and they are a trusted family business who also love the joy of plumerias just as much as I do.

If plumeria plants are your thing, then you need to stop by and see the widest variety of plumeria I have seen outside of Hawaii. I think I even met THE Jungle Jack.

Questions & Answers

I live in the hot desert where I have successfully grown plumerias bought from Jungle Jacks. Last week we hit a 122 degrees for two days and I watered more. I noticed some of the leaves turning black (not brown). Does this sound like fungus?

Sounds like sunburn on the lesves. Sunburn on the branches is a more serious problem

Hi, I live in Vista, California also. When are the best months to plant my calloused Plumeria cuttings?? I'm excited to get started on this. Also, when is best months to take cuttings off my existing Plumeria plants?? Thank you, Martha

Hi Martha, To take cuttings, wait until spring when new leaves appear. Make sure the tree is well hydrated. To root cuttings, also wait until warm weather and warm soil. Water once, and don't water again until you see new leaves. Your friends at JJP

Do you have any established plumeria that you can buy at this time.

Hello, yes, we have a wide assortment of plants in sizes from one gal to 7 gal available. Please bear in mind that we are going into the dormant season so most of the leaves have dropped. Thanks, John

My plumeria has not bloomed this year although I fertilize it regularly. The foliage is massive and beautiful, but no blooms. I have 4 . 2 are blooming now. 2 have no signs of buds. What is wrong

To much nitrogen causes green growth and no bloom's and sometimes plumerias will build a root system first in order to support the blooms so they won't bloom till that's done. Have a great day
