Nice area. We went for a western festival. I really enjoy posting on these events. My concern is that the events very rarely pertain to what is actually in the name of the event. Where ever it is to apply for the organizing of such events let me know I would like to apply!!!! They had some basics going. Otherwise it was an attempt at best. This could be a HUGE event and things fell short. We enjoyed our time as we do no matter where we go bit we want to be submerged in a western atmosphere. Staff very friendly and sweet. Very knowledgeable

They were doing a fund raiser. Taught gold panning, offered crafts for children, an arena of live Cowboy Re-enactment skits, a museum of century-ago ranch days, and second of real "Western" horse-drawn wagons and coaches, amid diaramas. Very pleasant day. Ten bucks for a carload of visitors.

Went there for their Western Festival. Extremely disappointed. Thought there would be more activities for this event. Nothing new added. The blacksmith was very slowly working on a hook. It was interesting but nothing special. The house tour was okay looking at the various items and hearing the history of the place. They had one (1) foodtruck. No other options. Food was good but expensive. The only thing that was fun was the "mining for gold". They had a large water bin filled with water and sand. You were given a plate to shift through the sand to find miniscule pebbles. The saving grace of this long drive was the museum at the bottom part of the grounds. That was wonderful. The stagecoach ride was nice but VERY short and it cost $5 per person. Robbery. If youre in the area and have absolutely nothing to do then seeing the museum was fun. Otherwise it's not worth a long drive from Escondido.

It was nice and authentic! My kids enjoyed watching the blacksmith and the gun show! The wagon ride was fun.

I am not sure but the ranch has special events and activities all throughout the year. On May 18th & May 19 is the annual Western and Art show, with vendors, food, crafts for kids, face painting, western shows, horseback riding, music. They have a friendly staff so call them and I'm sure they can provide your answer.
