Best gym in Chicago, hands down! This gym has all the weights you need. The clientele is also very friendly and accepting, so whether a you are beginner, intermediate, or well-seasoned lifter, there is a high level of support, unlike at some commercial gyms. People will also walk up to you and start a conversation. Overall, great place to train!

I've had multiple bad interactions with the management of this gym. The first one I ignored, the second I forgave, and finally decided to reach out to them recently for a powerlifting coach. The only response I got was "You have to be a member to use one of our coaches." And then never actually provided a reference. Okay, I figured, but you also could have said "here's a great coach, fyi you have to be a member". I'm also a physician so money isn't an issue. I responded saying I understand and was met with silence, still no reference after multiple emails. I ended up finding a great powerlifting coach at Quads (amazing gym and management BTW!). So I sent another email letting them know I found one elsewhere and they responded within 2 hours. For over a week and multiple emails they wouldn't give me helpful information but he can respond in 2 hours? I wont bore you with the previous bad interactions but all were with the management. I very highly recommend Quads, where management is kind, responsive, and love to work with you. Their rates and equipment are also superior.

Best of school gym. Tons of equipment and machines. Friendly atmosphere. Cross fit right next store by same owner. Owner was great to talk too and super knowledgeable of fitness and training. I was in for the week and will only go there when I return to Chicago.

I love everything the Chicago Barbell Compound represent. From the second you walk in, you know you're going to have to turn it up a level. Then you start to realize that you're surrounded by record breaking powerlifters and Mr. Olympia level bodybuilders and feel that there's no way you can go back to a commercial gym. Everyone is so nice too that you can pick their brains and change a few things about your technique that can help you increase your gains. This gym lives up to its reputation and you won't be disappointed!

18 y/o and above to work out independently, 16y/o and above require and adult with them.
Cheaper than most gyms. I don't go there anymore but it was like $40/mon if I remember right. It might be $50 by now
Negative. We do have balanced barbells though 🤘🤘
I believe it is $45. Great lifting environment and equipment.
Not sure about how much time they give but believe they will allow you to visit to check it out.
