Excellent place to visit at night, we went here in a rather hurried schedule so could not devote to it, the time it deserved. The lights are pretty cool. La La Land feels, go urban lights!
Pro tip: do check out a few pics from insta or Google reviews before you click and post yours on the Gram! Many cool angles can be captured

If you aren’t really a fan of art and architecture…. I guarantee you’ll become one after visiting this museum.
A place where art is used to create effects, express ideas, and emotions….. show structures and infrastructures. It showcases the presence of art in every aspect of our lives….whether it’s clothing, utensils, roadways, cinema, speech, paintings, monuments…etc. It makes you realize how art is present in EVERY aspect of our lives…. And how, without art/architecture…. Nothing really was possible.
Los Angeles county residents get free entry during certain hours, and parking was $18.

This is one of my favorite museums in the world! I went on the free day of the month, otherwise there is a cost for a ticket unless you have a paid membership. The staff were well organized and super helpful, giving out masks in line. I came for the Barbara Kruger exhibit and it did not disappoint. I stopped by the relocated, smaller store got a David Hockney poster as a souvenir. The Alexander McQueen exhibit was also very interesting. It will take you about at least 2 hours to make your way fully around. Highly recommended!

A pretty cool lights display! This lights art installation is amazing and worth the visit to this place. It really lights up our spirits too! Only drawback is that you can never take a picture without any people walking amongst these lights, since this place is super popular and will have tons of people visiting it at any time of the day. But the best time to see this grandeur is after dark, once the lights are on and shining bright!!

The outside viewing is free, you could see the garden and the urban lights design installation. The inside trip is chargeable. But I think it would be worth the time and money.
Hi Faye,
The LACMA site has restrictions listed if you are traveling from outside of California and not everyone in your party is vaccinated.
For in state visitors, you are asked if you're feeling any symptoms and your temperature is checked.
They have all of this info at LACMA.org.
I hope you get to visit, it was great to see the new exhibits!
General admission is free the second Tuesday of every month. General admission is also free to Los Angeles County residents after 3 pm on weekdays (except Wednesday, when the museum is closed).
If your planning on staying shortly then its better to pay at the quarter machines for two hours. If your planning on staying for the day then its ALWAYS better to pay $10-20 dollar admission.
It's free general admission to the museum but you must reserve online. Some exhibitions might cost extra. Check the museum's website for admission information.
Can you go in free with AARP card and/or 69 year old?

No website will tell you all the things that you can get in for free on if you got a teacher's card if you have an EBT card if you have a service card you can get in for free
Its 15 to get into the main one. The other thing was under construction so I dont know. All I can say is I'm in my 30's an havent been since I was 8 yrs old. I recently took my fiance there for the first time an she was blown away, shes not even into science stuff either so I was surprised, but we had an amazing time. You have to go at least one time in your life to see in person these amazing fossils.
1st, Go there.
2nd, Approach the information kiosk, ask every question you could possibly muster.

Yes, they will check it for you where you purchase your tickets for entry. We left our there and they have us a claim check, so it's something they do regularly.
There are bench type seats throughout the galleries; there could be more but some spaces will not allow it because of size. I have those same issues and was not inconvenienced at all.
When I visited LACMA recently I was given a card
"WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!"
The print is in red and asks for comments as well as my contact info -- address, etc.
The back side is blank.
What is the address where I should send the card?

Does LACMA have wheel chairs available?

Can I visit you on Monday?(Washington birth date)
엘리뽀 | Aug 23, 2019
Stephanie Gonzalez | Aug 23, 2019
Is always open the outside part of the museum , so yes , at least if you want to go a specific event
The meters are very cheap it came out to about a dollar an hour if I remember correctly. If you don't mind walking 5 minutes or so. It's all on the same block
Hmmm I think u can bring food but would probably have to seat in the common area to eat before you continue walking around to explore. So to answer your question probably not if your planning on taking the food inside with you and munching on the go. Unless it's not messy and smelly and noticeable. Like a snack.

There are a couple of good restaurants near LACMA. But continue on wilshire BLVD towards santa monica and you will pass through beverly hills and right there on beverly drive there are many more good restaurants.
LACMA did not specify if the union is on the special discount/free list, but general admission is free the second Tuesday of every month. General admission is also free to Los Angeles County residents after 3 pm on weekdays (except Wednesday, when the museum is closed). LACMA is also free on Memorial Day: Monday, May 28, 2018.
There are different sections to the museum. Some might cost money and a ticket is needed to enter. The outside portion is free and can be viewed anytime.
Can you tell me whether the Hockney portrait exhibit will Travel, and if so, where and when. We are in the East, and hope it will come to Boston or New York

LACMA will be
the host of the only US presentation.
Michael Govan in the Museum Director at LACMA. He knows all things art related and is known to be somewhat accessible to intelligent questions.
Try contacting him through LACMA. He probably has a voicemail contact.
I have wanted to view the Pelton acquired o n
May 2017 . It was misnamed in an article. The name is “Response” not “Lost Music” But I was told by the museum they do not have this painting and never did ..?????? Anyone?

Is it an artwork from the Americas? A lot of that is in storage while new exhibition is being prepared.
