Second Tuesday of every month is free admission. You can visit all the pavilions on the free admission apart from certain exclusive sections. When I visited, only a small temporary section on Chagall's works was on a separate paid ticket. Rest was open. You may download the LACMA app in advance for a better experience and guidance during the tour.
