Stoney Creek Hotel Quad Cities - Moline

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Hotel was mostly quiet (the hotel has no ability to control when kids play loudly or a woman screams with pleasure during sex). Walls are not soundproof. Typical stuff. Breakfast was sad with weak options for the price level of the hotel. I paid extra for a room with a hot tub, but had to call maintenance as the drain didn't close rendering it useless. To their credit, it didn't take long to fix and the staff was responsive and apologetic (but didn't offer a discount or anything). The window blinds were broken, so I couldn't open or close them. Wallpaper is peeling. Carpets are loose and coming up. Drapery brackets exist with no drapes. Take a look at pics, especially the kicked in door to the bathroom. How do you rent out a room in this condition? It's not like the property was full.

Location is decent, but somewhat removed from nearby attractions. Hotel has excellent service, but rooms and fixtures are starting to show their age. Decor is themed very rustic and charming, but price is somewhat higher than comparable destinations.

This hotel has gone extremely downhill. Rude front desk workers, keys that consistently don’t work, and loud and obnoxious guests. Kids running and yelling at all hours of the night. They also failed to clean our room for 4 consecutive days and only gave fresh towels after being asked, but didn’t take the old ones. They had a police officer on site on Friday and Saturday night which is interesting. Spend the extra money and go somewhere nicer. We will not be returning.

Really enjoyed our stay. Kind and caring staff. Pool and hot tub area is plenty spacious. Kiddos were really amused by the swim under to the exterior pool. Breakfast served till 9:30. Great family entertainment. Only constructive feedback would be to get the door lock/keys working smoothly.
