Library is open now! We have gone the past two days and it's been mostly empty. I hope they reopen all the sections/activities of the library soon, but for now you can still look at books freely and check them out. I love the architectural style that let's natural light in with all the windows!

I regularly take walks to this library with my daughters. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy the crafts and activities for the children and the sitting area. We love that it’s next to the park very convenient and helps us Spend time together without spending money.

Now has a public park on the property next door. Wonderful, kind, informative, patient wonderful staff. Reserved computers for teens. Other computers available. Always interesting new programs for all ages.

A true jewel, since the library was designed by Mexican architect Legorreta. The disposition and lighting of the space is simply beautiful. They have a collection of books on both English and Spanish, the only downside for this place is the awful customer service and the old computers.

No they do not have one
The South Branch Location does not offer Passport services. The main Civic Branch and Otay Ranch locations offer passport services. You can renew your passport at both locations with the necessary documents. If those locations are too far and inconvenient, the US Post Office located at Oxford St. is able to process your passport card renewal.
Typically the library itself is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday except for Friday which is til 5 p.m.. However the passport office/section is a government office so the closing time might be 5 p.m. every day except for Sunday and holidays when they are completely closed.
Not sure, please call them.
Not sure sorry . But they do have several activities throught the week.
No.
Yes, there are fax services. Free outgoing (619) and toll-free area codes (800, 866, 888, 877, 855). The library will fax a maximum of 7 pages. One fax per day, per library guest. Original must be 8.5x11, in good condition, no perforated originals. Original certified docs like birth certificates must be copied before faxing.
They aren't doing taxes this year. Civic Center on F Street was until the 4th of April. They do have the forms though.
