This is a great store and all the young people working there are so nice... Expect the mature tall woman behind the counter. Gosh she is rude, mean and everything bothers her. She called the Sheriff on a street singer cause it bother her. The girl was on the sidewalk not inside the store patio. We went tom Sunday again and just like before, rude and mean. I feel sorry for the kids working there.

I loved this specialized store. You can find local honey, candies, truffles, all sorts of pickled and canned vegetables (like spicy pickled garlic), jams, jellies, apple butter, pumpkin butter, and this is just a very short list of the things I can remember. They even have some cute stuff animal that take the shape of food. I've never seen a croissant or kale stalk as a stuff animal toy before, but I liked it. They also will let you sample some of their apple butters too, so you know what you're getting ahead of time, and they have various jar sizes, so you don't have to buy a giant jar if you just want a little bit for a snack. Then they have their cider of course, which you can also sample, as well as buy a cup of if you're just looking for a quick refreshment. When I was there, the specialty flavor was "cherry apple," and it was quite good.

Today we shopped at Julian Cider Mill and had a really bad experience. There was an old lady on the left side of the cashier register who asked us for our ID when we only purchased CHERRY JAM and some mixed nuts. I asked her why and she replied, “I want to make sure your name in your credit card (it was a debit card) matches with your ID.” Never in my life have my mom and I been ID’d for our names. We wonder if she IDs everyone…. We don’t plan to visit here ever again! VERY rude to customers!

Not worth a visit if you actually care about the taste of things you put in your mouth. We bought around $60 worth of stuff here (honey, snacks, cider); nothing was any good. Highly overpriced considering the lack of quality. The ambience of the shop matches that of an average gift shop at a touristy town.

Not the hard cider...the cherry cider from Julian California from
When in season you can see the machines in operation but not really a tour.
