Poorly run courthouse with an unpleasant staff. I work in the legal industry and travel to Southern California courthouses for a living, filing, serving, etc. Every visit I've had to this courthouse has been disappointing. The security guards at the entrance are a bit dated, with attitudes to match. They are constantly making obscene jokes and harass people whom they feel threatened by. I would attribute that to the fact the courthouse uses a private security firm rather than government employees. The clerks in the filing office have no business being there. With the exception of a few members, they're uninformed, uneducated, and unhappy. I have had several instances where a particular filing clerk denied paperwork that had been filed in the same office by another clerk. I do not typically write reviews that derail a business like this, but this is a business, and they're not doing a great job at keeping their customers happy. Don't get me wrong, the judges, court reporters, maintenance staff, and most others are pleasant people for the most part. But the above referenced areas of this courthouse are a nightmare and someone needs to be made aware.

Unless the court makes a finding that reunification services need not be provided under subdivision (b) of section 361.5 if a child is removed from the custody of a parent or legal guardian, the court must order the county welfare department to provide reunification services to the child and the child's mother and statutorily presumed parent, or the child's legal guardian, to facilitate reunification of the family as required in section 361.5.
You'll have to ask one of the clerks that work your type of case for that kind of change. They'll be able to point you in the direction of what needs to be done for that.
