This is coming from a family member visit standpoint. Our cousin was in an accident. Stressful as it is was only made worse by this horrible example of health care facility. Firstly, they charge for parking, I understand maybe doing this and validate actual guests and their visitors but they just straight up charge. Then we tried to visit and the front desk personnel was absolutely clueless and underwhelming unhelpful. Then they have the nerve to tell his wife that she cannot visit her husband after his emergency surgery until 8am the next day. Avoid and go to Sharp, they at least update with information and allow one visitor.

The main reason this place is one star is because it’s basically a homeless shelter. From 10pm-10am. I was told 6 hours and the place had every seat filled with sleeping homeless. I arrived at midnight. Looks like People who constantly stock up all of the beds because they of course are ill in pain and this hospital is the closet one to downtown and here’s the outcome. homelessness doesn’t help them heal of course. it is the truth and the hospital is understaffed for this kind of situation. If you are a person who is going to be charged the same price you be in La Jolla hospital on Genesee Avenue or Coronado. you should go there and experience no wait time because you cannot make it over the bridge on foot so it’s not even close to the same situation. Perfect solution if wanting a good hospital close to downtown without the headaches 👍

After surgery got infections then start fever and pain. I came ER today bad experiences who is check in she is so aggressive and NO empathy to patient. 3 hours wait terrible ER. Wat to better Shape memorial ER. Speciality when we wait I don't want hear this lady's private conversation with laughing. I think her name is Ailen. But Mr. Jonathan is great :) He try good take care patient all the time. I'm not recomend this ER !!!

Wait time is not minutes but hours maybe like 4 . i was here 1 time and i had a allergic reaction my face was twitching and half my face was jaw locked and saliva was coming out my mouth the whole time i was in the waiting room for like 4 hrs . i was taken in where the doctors treat the people and they gave me epinephrine i think 💉 but i thought with all the money this place gets with the philanthropic donations. They would actually hurry it up come on now . ** 1 percent of the people own 50% of the wealth //
