For being so close to home, I always feel like I'm states away. I love this campground for last minute bookings (I've gotten pretty lucky). Super wooded which is a plus for me. Only downside is the lack of trails but there are many very nearby via drive so not a total issue.

Loved it! Super quiet with large shaded spaces. Tall pines all around. Close to great hiking!

We stayed in the "Quiet Loop" it was quite peaceful no screaming kids or barking dogs overnight. Nice tent pads at most sites. RV'ers check your site before booking, some parking pads are way off level compared to others.

38' wow sounds kinda long, they sites we stayed out could accommodate something that big
It's a state park so yes fees
Wisconsin state parks don't have water hookups at each site. There is a fresh water tank fill hose just past the dump site. Pinewoods doesn't have electric sites (perhaps besides the accessible one).
