It has a very homey feeling. Dr Jody was very good with our dog. Glad we got referred to Bark River!

Dr. Jody was a great vet to my dog. David a tech there also always did very well with him. I had a horrible experience here when I had to throw my dog with people he’s never seen or met before AND even did not like for a neuter surgery that I ended up going elsewhere for. First, I saw a tech trying to handle him when I have asked them kindly and repeatedly that he is not to be handled by her because I’ve only ever had bad experiences with her and this was going on when they offered curbside care only which also probably scared my poor dog more because I couldn’t be there with him but I understood. They even reassured me and agreed to have other techs there handle him which was a lie because I saw her through the window clear as day so this ultimately also added to his stress that day. I’ve always had positive experiences here with my family cats but with my dog was very different. I felt as if they definitely discriminated him because of his breed and gave him a lack of ATTEMPTED quality care and patience as a vet staff I would assume they would be experienced and caring to all animals but this clinic seems to lack that in that department. My dog has also had other bad experiences here that has scarred him for life and now he is extremely fearful of the vet even more than before. I ended up switching vets which was way cheaper for his surgery and my new vet clearly seemed to care more about my dog and continues to be as patient and kind to him as ever. Some staff here clearly should not be in that specific job line. After some vet visits here my dog would straight up have projectile diarrhea from the stress which he does not ever do with my new vet now. So please I would definitely reconsider a different place if you have a fearful pet or a pet that requires extra sensitivity.

We really love it here! Both of my dogs are elderly and needed dental work and they treated my peachy like their own. Very friendly and the doctors don't try to push things on you your pets don't need. Their prices are definitely better than many we've tried as well. My boy goes next week for his dental work and after seeing how well my peach was treated Im not anywhere near as nervous as I was when taking her in. They also only do one surgery a day so all of their attention can be focused on your baby and your baby only! I absolutely love that!

We recently moved to the area and were in search of a new vet for our 9 year old pup. Sadly, our dog contracted Lymes & got sick, so our first interaction with Bark River was with a sick pup and nervous parents. Not only were they attentive and caring, but they were so patient with me. Never having a sick dog before, or dealing with administering meds, etc... I've called up there at least 3 times this past week to ask questions or share concerns, and they are always compassionate, give guidance and listen. When we were trying to decide next steps in treatment, they gave me multiple options with details on each, and price points so you always know what you have to prepare for. I've never felt rushed or not heard - which is so important. They not only cared for our fur-babe Ava, but they've cared for me. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area that wants a vet care team that feels like family! Thank you Dr Jody, Jennifer and the rest of the staff that has been so wonderful.
