Tunnel Trail Campground

This is a wonderful family campground! We have been going there for years. It is on part of the Elroy Sparta bike trail. They have a pool, a small splash pool and a mini golf course. We love it so much that we go there every summer.

We had a wonderful time at tunnel trail! I grew up nearby and have family in the area but had never camped there. It was such a joy to be back in the area that I have so many childhood memories and the campground could not have been more perfect. Our campsite was private, wooded and beautiful. The campground was clean and kept up. And I adore the bike trail, so the convenience was fabulous! Our kids had a blast. We unfortunately experienced quite a bit of rain, but we still had a great time and they even can around warning us of the thunderstorms coming—so nice! We’ll definitely be back!

Some sites are very small. Was glad the site next to us was not rented. Only one shower house in working order. Being right on the Sparta Elroy bike trail is a huge plus though.

So we were on the trail and came across this campground right on the trail. Well maintained with large spaces. They had a picnic table outside their store which is stocked with plenty of items to eat, including ice cream. They have an outhouse for you to use. We suggest if you stop here to take a break from biking but not staying in the campground, you at least support the store.
