Excellent bike trail. The kids love to walk their bikes through the train tunnels. We usually camp at the Tunnel Trails Campground and get right on the Elroy-Sparta State Trail as it runs in front of the campground.

Love riding on the trail! Tunnel #3 is amazing on a hot summer day!! Great way to cool off and then it's downhill away from the tunnel, so you can coast along! 🚵‍♀️

Elroy Sparta Trail Tunnel 2. Beautiful area with high rock walls, lots of flowers, and even has a small waterfall just before the tunnel entrance. The smell when you get up to the tunnel is wonderful, very earthy. It's nice and cool inside, though it is a bit slippery. This is well worth checking out, and we'll definitely be back to see the other two tunnels.

Beautiful trail to walk, jog etc. It's one of the Rail Trails of Wisconsin. 3 tunnels in all and stunning beauty everywhere you look. The tunnels are very humid and cool. It is a welcome relief on a hot day. Lots of shaded areas. My plan is to return to visit the longest tunnel, Tunnel 3.i ran out of time. The Tunnel Trai Campground was a convenient place to stay. It is a superb RV Campground.
