I came to the La Mesa emergency room on Monday morning for severe upper abdominal pain. I was admitted and ended up needing surgery to remove my gallbladder on Tuesday. My nurses Gorgette, and Pat were so amazing i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’d never had surgery before and was very scared. ALL the women in Pre-Op were angels and i felt so cared for and listened to. My surgeon Dr Mayberry was amazing everyone that i encountered including nursing assistants, everyone was amazing. I genuinely cannot recommend this hospital enough. Thank you all so so much i cannot thank you enough.

These “healthcare providers” should have their licenses revoked. I’ve never had a problem with any other Sharp location/provider, until La Mesa. I have been refused care. They won’t follow up after ER and Urgent Care visits. I’m looking into legal actions.

I stop by the lab to drop off a sample to find no one at the desk. it was three people waiting. I ask a lab tech if i would leave the sample with her, she responded no I would need to check in, so I waited just to finally notice an employee sitting in the corner of the reception area on the computer and another one sitting at the X-ray check in. The rep in the corner finally assisted the patient in front of me then another 5 minutes went by and the Rep siting at the X-ray desk decided to help and motioned me over to check in. I said to her what time does the Lab open, no response. she checked me in and said have a seat someone will call your name, by this time I have been waiting over 20 minutes along with others. The Customer Service was horrible. I am a employee and I should never experience unprofessional service as a patient.

Called to schedule an appointment at Occupational Health for pre-employment screening and was told my appointment was at 830. I showed up at 825 to check in and was quickly processed through due to compeleting my paperwork before arriving, only to be told that my appointment wasnt until 9 and they told me 830 on the phone to ensure I had time to complete the paperwork before my appointment. So here I am sitting in the waiting room, waiting to see if the can possibly squeeze me in “early”. Complete lack of respect for other peoples time or commitments. 30 minutes of my day I cant get back listening to receptionist gossip, great.

I'm about to do it, and this is what I was instructed to do: Ask Sharp Rees-Stealy for the TRANSFER OF RECORDS form, complete it and either personally or as Sharp instructs you, send the Release or Transfer of records form to the medical facility you are leaving. Either or both should inform you when records are transferred and received. Discuss the documents with your new physician to ensure everything has been transferred. It will take a little while and if urgent you need to stay on top of them. Good luck.
Yes, they should be. Dr. Lafferty, Dr. Journagin, or Dr. Zyman. Dr. Gray is awesome, but retires soon.
I'm sorry I'm not sure if there open or closed.
