Parking can be a little hectic but it is a great spot for a beach day, is calm, is not crowded, has a small park for kids. We enjoy going there to have family time.

Nice and quite park. The beach, around the 6am, is the perfect spot to meditate and connect with nature and water.

What a beautiful public beach and park to spend some time at. This is absolutely beautiful and we'll taken care of public beach located in Miami. We were really impressed with how clean and safe this beach felt, and love the fact that it had lifeguards on duty as well as trash bins that are regularly being cleaned up. The beach is also graded daily so the sand isn't clumpy and is quite nice. Be prepared that if you do go in the morning for sunrise, you might come across some people spending the night on a lifeguard station. But I don't feel you have much to worry about with them as they're just looking for a place to sleep. There's also a really cute park here for kids to play at and a nice walking trail that follows the beach north to south.

Great beach park for families. You can enjoy the beach which has decent sand space, no hotel umbrellas (they reduce the space for your own stuff), a lifeguard on duty on weekends (didn't visit during week so don't know). The park right before the beach is big enough for kids all ages to play around. Now after summer they close the park and beach at 5/530pm (sunset).

Not sure. It's a public park and people hit the beach early, would think by 7 AM.
No space for a wedding. I live directly across from the park. Not sure they'd even let you to be honest, construction going on near the boardwalk and a huge colony of stray cats live at this park also. Many factors against a wedding there.
I only saw old hotel being renovated. No new construction whatsoever to the extent of my knowledge. But you could call the county and inquire. I hope this helps, good luck.
