As a resident of Ashland for 13 years, for years you can easily wait on hold for 30 minutes or more, sometimes with them answering but mostly not. Today after a 1/2 hour wait i drove down and waited for several minutes for Julie to finish her personal phone conversation in order to attend to me. I’d spoken with her roughly 2 weeks earlier to let her know I’m working with OHRA regarding my bill. She said she’d notate the account. Today she let me know that I didn’t have that conversation with her and that there’s no notation on the account. Further, that they’d sent me to collections. She then proceeded to attempt to loudly shame me for not being able to pay my bill during a pandemic. I explained I have 4 kids 24/7, to which she apparently is unable to understand how that combined with a pandemic and job loss isn’t a reason to not be able to pay. That was her answer to my question regarding why she didn’t tell me such while we spoke. Ashland needs to contract another company. There people are incompetent and rude and it effects people’s personal lives.

Kyle with Recology customer service is by far one of the best customer service agents I've had the pleasure of speaking with. He was very attentive, professional, and very friendly. He is a definite asset to their company. Thank you Kyle!

We’ve been pleased with Recology’s garbage, recycling and green waste pick up. However, yesterday I found several non-recyclable items we had mistakenly placed in our blue bin thrown in random spots in the street and sidewalk in front of our home. Please direct your drivers to be a bit more respectful. I apologize for putting the non-recyclables in the blue bin. Today I noticed one of your trucks exceeding the speed limit on our residential street. Please remind them to obey speed limits. Thank you.

The office staff are so efficient with figuring out problems and explain all the options, so you can get as close to what you need as the company allows. Lots of new tech on the trucks making life even more difficult than "normal" for those of us outside the city limits (we have no recycle or yard waste options other than stuff it into your car or bicycle during normal working hours - how I wish I could pay more and stop throwing all this into the trash!), and I wish the new trucks didn't crush soft-sided extra cans (how else can I get rid of yard waste?), and on and on, but I get trying to save money with automation. The human beings stuck in this difficult situation are caring and do try their best.

They can if the binding is removed. We can only accept the pages. Thanks for asking!
Hello Susan, No we can't accept paint. However, there is a PaintCare program in Oregon. You can take it back to Miller Paint & Ace Hardware. We do recommend you check with them that they have room. Now, if you have very little left in the can you can take the lid off to let it completely dry out. Then, lid off, it can go in your trash. Thanks for asking!
RECOLOGY never answers their phone - so you have to drive to their office in person to ask a question.
There is a metal bin at the transfer station you can put that in but not your recycle cart.
At Ace Hardware, but you have to pay a small fee for it, rechargeable batteries are recycled for free
Yes ink jet cartridges you bring into the office. Just no toner cartridges. I work here 😊
Good morning, yes, it gets picked up the same day and week as recycling.
Yes, just make sure the lid is off so the driver knows it is dried out. Thanks for asking!
You can take it to the Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, May 4. The cost is $5 per car. The complete information will be on our website soon. http://recology.com/recology-ashland/
You can take to Ace Hardware on A St. They charge $2.49/#
Hello Christina, take it to the transfer station at 3000 Valley View for no charge.
Hello, you can call the office at 541-481-1471 and we can have the driver take extra for you the following week no charge. However, if you can't wait we can send him back sooner for a $20 off route fee.
Yes, you can. Thanks for asking!
Bearly used beds in Talent is a used bed place. The mattress can be taken to our transfer station for disposal.
Hello James, if you used Siri to find our number that would be why you got the wrong phone number. Please call us at 541-482-1471. We are working to get it corrected.
I'm sorry for the late reply. I didn't get notified. You can take soft plastic to the recycle center at 220 Water Street in Ashland. We also accept rigid tubes such as cottage cheese and butter tubs but not the lids.
It depends where you live but currently green debris service is $7.72 per month
Only in the cities of Ashland and Talent
In Ashland and Talent a lot can be recycled. The best thing to do is to go into our office at 170 Oak st. and get a list. Here is a few items off the top of my head to get you started- milk jugs, tin cans, aluminum cans, cardboard, paperboard(cereal boxes), aluminum foil, newspaper, office paper, plastic bottles(larger than 8 ounces), and glass bottles are recycled separately. All containers should have lids removed and be clean. If there is any contamination on yhe recycling it should be removed. If you are unsure if an item is recylable it should go in yhe trash. When in doubt, throw it out. I hope this helps and feel free to ask any question you have.
You can take them to the transfer station at 3000 Valley View for no charge
What types of plastics we accept hasn't changed. Plastic bottles where the neck is smaller than the body and rigid tubs, such as butter & cottage cheese. But now the lids. Water street accepts soft plastic which needs to be separated - clear only and then the rest goes in the other container.
We don't offer that service, however, Rogue Shred does and they're part of Rogue Disposal in Medford
Sorry for the delay! It is always 1 day later. The drivers only have 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New year's day off
Yes, all pickups will be delayed by 1 day.
Hello, Depending on where you want it dropped the price may vary. A 10 yard is $225.06 and daily rent is $15.47. You would also need to complete a contract prior to getting the box.
